Abstract

To provide a component mounting machine capable of doing accurate image recognition of an electronic component being held to the holding face of a holding nozzle.SOLUTION: A component mounting machine 1 comprises: a light irradiation part 41 for irradiating the electronic component with light that is held at a holding face 2511 of a holding nozzle 251; and an image acquisition part 42 for acquiring a component image G1 on the basis of the light reflected by the electronic component. The light irradiation part 41 includes a light emission part 411 for emitting a ray of non-polarized light, and an irradiation polarization part 412 removably located at a position on the light emitting side of the light emission part 411, which permits the passage of irradiation light emitted from the light emission part 411 and having been polarized in a specific direction. The image acquisition part 42 includes an imaging polarization part 422 which is switched depending on whether or not the irradiation polarization part 412 is located, and an image-capturing part 421 for receiving light having passed through the imaging polarization part 422 and thereby generating a component image G1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
