Abstract

The invention discloses a double-screen interactive digital television system and a method thereof, which is realized by applying the technology of an independent remote interface with display forms. The system comprises a master interactive digital television end and a handheld device end. The master interactive digital television end comprises master-end interactive digital television content, interactive digital television mediation software, a master-end graphical user interface and a server-side remote interface control protocol. The handheld device end comprises interactive digital television content at a handheld end, an interface generator, a graphical user interface at the handheld end and a client remote interface control protocol. In the system and the method of the invention, the digital television content can be only provided with a double-screen execution pattern and switched between the double-screen execution pattern and a single screen execution pattern.
