Whether water adding action is performed after dry burning is judged according to the velocity of variation of the measured temperature, an alarm is given, and the electric food warmer is converted into a safety mode; and thus, a safety hazard caused by long-term dry burning is avoided, and the phenomenon that food is undercooked as the electric food warmer enters the safety mode immediately upon the detection of drying burning is eliminated.
