AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows for simultaneously capturing both physical features like fingerprints from different parts of an object's skin without requiring complicated or expensive devices that require extra effort during analysis. It also uses advanced techniques such as image processing algorithms to improve its performance over traditional methods by reducing environmental concerns associated with it. Overall, this technology provides technical benefits including faster and more precise identification capabilities while maintaining strong security measures against counterfeiters.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed by this patents relates to improving the efficiency and reliability of identifying individuals through biological evidence like palms or features from them called bioelectricity. Current systems require manual input during registration processes due to limitations including lack of universal applicabilities and ease of damage caused by frequent handling. There is currently only one solution available - physical sensors attached around the person' s body. However these solutions may still result in issues related to accurate identification when taken outdoors over prolonged periods.

Abstract

Disclosed is a capture and identification system for blending images of palm veins and palm prints. The capture and identification system comprises a computer, an instrument case, and a heat mirror, a near-infrared light source, a visible light source, an infrared CCD (charge coupled device) camera, a visible light CCD camera, a communication interface, an image capture card and a rectangular supporting body which are mounted in the instrument case. Near-infrared light emitted from the near-infrared light source and visible light emitted from the visible light source irradiates to the palm of a tasted person respectively. Distributing information of subcutaneous veins is included in a reflected infrared light which penetrates through the heat mirror to form the image in an imaging sensor of the infrared CCD camera with an infrared filter, and the image of the palm veins is acquired. The image of the palm prints is captured by the visible light CCD camera with the infrared filter, the two images are converted into a digital image signal through the image capture card to be transmitted to the computer, and identification is performed by extracting characteristics after the images are registered and blended.
