The method comprises: collecting a hand image and separating handshape and palmprint features from the hand image, using the extracted handshape and palmprint features of a registered user as templates and storing into registration template libraries together with personal identifications of the user; setting a threshold value, and comparing the handshape feature extracted from the shot hand image with the handshape feature in the handshape feature template library; then determining whether identification names are the same, if yes, determining that the user is legal, otherwise, determining by recognizing the palmprint; setting a threshold value, and comparing the palmprint feature extracted from the shot hand image with the palmprint feature in the palmprint feature template library, if comparison of the palmprint features is successful, determining that whether the identification names are the same, if yes, determining that the user is legal, otherwise, determining that the user is counterfeit, and refusing the user.
