The invention provides
flame-retardant
tread rubber as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The
flame-retardant
tread rubber is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of matrix rubber, 24-35 parts of a composite
flame retardant, 40-100 parts of filler, 1-4 parts of a
silane coupling agent, 2-6 parts of an anti-aging agent, 1-3 parts of
sulfur, 1-3 parts of an
accelerant, 1-3 parts of
stearic acid and 3-5 parts of
zinc oxide, the composite flame retardant comprises a
halogen flame retardant and an inorganic flame retardant, the inorganic flame retardant comprises an inorganic
coating flame retardant, and the inorganic
coating flame retardant comprises an
antimony trioxide core and a
molybdenum disulfide
coating layer coating the surface of the
antimony trioxide core. In the flame-retardant
tread rubber disclosed by the invention, a
molybdenum disulfide coating layer in the inorganic coating flame retardant can improve the stability of
antimony trioxide at a high temperature, and can enhance the interfacial compatibility with a non-polar rubber matrix at the same time, and the synergistic reaction with the
halogen flame retardant further improves the flame-retardant effect; therefore, the flame retardancy of the rubber is improved, and excellent mechanical properties are kept at the same time.
