Abstract

Methods and devices for mitigating power consumption in CDMA slotted mode are aspects of the present disclosure. A method for controlling an access terminal includes entering an awake state of a slotted idle mode, adjusting a reacquisition time for acquiring a pilot signal from a first cell in accordance with a pilot signal quality from the first cell recorded in a prior awake state, and acquiring the pilot signal.
