The method comprises the following steps that: after a master soundbox in a soundbox system is successfully connected with a mobile terminal, the master soundbox searches a nearby slave soundbox; after the master soundbox searches the slave soundbox, if the master soundbox is connected with the mobile terminal through a wireless network, the master soundbox identifies a service set identifier SSID1 of the wireless network and a password relative to the SSID1 and sends the SSID1 and the password relative to the SSID1 to the slave soundbox, such that the slave soundbox joins the wireless network; and, if the master soundbox is connected with the mobile terminal through a wired network, the master soundbox receives the SSID1 and the password relative to the SSID1 identified by the mobile terminal and forwards the SSID1 and the password relative to the SSID1 to the slave soundbox, such that the slave soundbox joins the wireless network.
