The method is applicable to the image obtaining device with a first lens and a depth sensor and comprisesthe following steps of obtaining a preview image of a photography scene through utilization of the first lens and obtaining depth information of the photography scene through utilization of the depthsensor; carrying out scene analysis on the preview image according to the depth information, thereby generating a scene analysis result; judging whether the preview image satisfies a photography composition demand or not according to the scene analysis result and a corresponding photography composition rule; photographing the preview image through utilization of the first lens if the preview image satisfies the photography composition demand; and providing a composition suggestion satisfying the photography scene according to the photography composition rule corresponding to the scene analysis result if the preview image does not satisfy the photography composition demand. According to the image obtaining device and the photography composition method, the relatively precise view can be provided, so a user can photograph the image satisfying photography aesthetics value.
