The method is applicable to the image obtaining device with a first lens and a depth sensor and comprisesthe following steps of obtaining a preview image of a photography scene through utilization of the first lens and obtaining depth information of the photography scene through utilization of the depthsensor; carrying out scene analysis on the preview image according to the depth information, thereby generating a scene analysis result; judging whether the preview image satisfies a photography composition demand or not according to the scene analysis result and a corresponding photography composition rule; photographing the preview image through utilization of the first lens if the preview image satisfies the photography composition demand; and providing a composition suggestion satisfying the photography scene according to the photography composition rule corresponding to the scene analysis result if the preview image does not satisfy the photography composition demand.
