Abstract

According to the invention, disclosed is a separable core type hybrid nuclear reactor using a single nuclear reactor, capable of a power generation operation as a normal research nuclear reactor, andalso facilitating the use as critical facilities. When the nuclear reactor is used as the critical facilities, a portion of core is separated and moved in a lateral direction to secure a space, and alattice of nuclear reactor component materials is charged in the secured space for a critical experiment, and thus a lattice characteristic experiment can be performed. According to the invention, thenuclear reactor described above comprises: a separable core type hybrid nuclear reactor (100) installed inside a concrete water tank (10); and a mode switching drive unit (20) controlling an operation mode of the hybrid nuclear reactor (100), wherein the separable core type hybrid nuclear reactor (100) comprises: a lattice structure (130) having a separable structure and installed on the bottom part of the concrete water tank (10); a reflector structure (150) having a separable structure and installed in an edge part of the lattice structure (130); and a partition structure (170) having a separable structure and installed to the top of the lattice structure (130).
