The method comprises the steps: splitting an MIDI fragment into a bass area and a middle-high pitch area according to voice thresholddistribution; dividing the MIDI fragment into N units according to a certain unit length, dividing the time length corresponding to each unit into a plurality of time steps, and respectively countingthe occurrence frequency of notes of each time step in a bass region and a middle-high pitch region; aiming at the bass zone and the middle-high pitch zone, respectively counting the average frequency of notes appearing on the time steps corresponding to the N units, wherein a sequence formed by the average frequency according to time steps represents rhythmic characteristics.
