Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention belongs to the technical field of fuel cells, and in particular relates to a platinum phosphate-resistant catalyst and a preparation method and application thereof. Background Art

[0002] Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) are one of the important application outlets at the end of the future hydrogen energy industry chain. The operating temperature of ordinary proton exchange membrane fuel cells is generally controlled at 80°C. However, at this operating temperature, impurities (CO and H2S, etc.) are usually present in the fuel gas (H2). These impurities can cause the platinum-based catalysts (Pt-based catalysts) widely used in fuel cells to be poisoned, resulting in a serious decline in fuel cell performance.

[0003] Based on this, high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells (HT-PEMFC) were derived. The advantage of HT-PEMFC under high-temperature working conditions is not only that the Pt-based catalyst is not easily poisoned by gaseous toxic molecules, but also has a higher catalytic conversion efficiency. However, in the current manufacturing process of high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells, the use of phosphoric acid-doped polybiphenylimidazole (PBI) membrane as a proton exchange membrane is an indispensable step, but this also leads to the problem of phosphoric acid leaching, which will inevitably have a poisoning effect on the Pt-based catalyst. Therefore, the development of Pt-based catalysts with high catalytic activity and high resistance to phosphoric acid poisoning is of great significance for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells. Summary of the invention

[0004] The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a phosphate-resistant platinum-based catalyst and a preparation method and application thereof, so as to solve the phosphoric acid poisoning problem of platinum-based catalysts in high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells.

[0005] The technical solution adopted to solve the technical problem is to provide a method for preparing a platinum phosphate-resistant catalyst, comprising the following steps:

[0006] (1) mixing a carbon-supported platinum catalyst and a molybdate in ethylene glycol for condensation and reflux to obtain a carbon-supported platinum catalyst modified with molybdenum oxide;

[0007] (2) mixing the molybdenum oxide-modified carbon-supported platinum catalyst and dopamine hydrochloride in a buffer solution and stirring for the first time, then adding a transition metal salt and stirring for the second time, filtering and drying to obtain a pretreated molybdenum oxide-modified platinum-based alloy catalyst;

[0008] (3) The platinum-based alloy catalyst modified by the pre-treated molybdenum oxide is annealed to obtain a phosphate-resistant platinum-based catalyst.

[0009] The beneficial effect of the above technical solution adopted in the present invention is that the phosphate-resistant platinum-based catalyst obtained by the preparation method of the present invention has the advantages of high oxygen reduction catalytic activity, low phosphoric acid adsorption capacity and resistance to phosphoric acid poisoning compared with traditional carbon-supported platinum catalysts or other platinum alloy catalysts. In the present invention, molybdate is reduced to partially amorphous molybdenum oxide by ethylene glycol to modify the platinum catalyst. Amorphous oxide is a special oxide with weak crystallinity and cannot be detected by conventional X-ray diffraction (XRD). This type of oxide has the characteristics of being loose and porous and rich in oxygen-containing groups on the surface. These oxygen-containing groups can repel oxygen in phosphoric acid molecules and hinder the adsorption of phosphate, thereby alleviating phosphoric acid poisoning on the platinum surface. By controlling the morphology and thickness of this amorphous oxide layer on the catalyst surface, it is possible to optimize and improve the phosphoric acid resistance of platinum without affecting the catalyst activity. The self-polymerization of dopamine hydrochloride is then utilized to form a dopamine shell thin layer on the surface of carbon-supported platinum modified with molybdenum oxide, and the incorporated transition metal salt is adsorbed into the polydopamine, which is then alloyed with platinum through the thermal diffusion effect of annealing treatment. Regulating the electronic structure of the platinum catalyst can effectively improve the oxygen reduction performance of platinum.

[0071] Experimental example

[0072] 1. The platinum phosphate-resistant cobalt catalyst prepared in Example 1 was subjected to transmission electron microscopy analysis, element distribution analysis and XRD analysis. The results are as follows: Figures 1 to 3 As shown. Figures 1-2 It can be seen that the signals of Pt and Co in the platinum phosphate-resistant cobalt catalyst prepared by the present invention completely overlap, indicating that Pt and Co are distributed uniformly to form a PtCo alloy; in addition, the elements of Mo and O are evenly distributed in the observed area, indicating that the surface is modified by molybdenum oxide. Figure 3 It can be seen that the XRD diffraction peak of the platinum phosphate-resistant cobalt catalyst shifts to the right, and the peak shape coincides with PDF#29-0499, indicating the formation of Pt3Co alloy without molybdenum oxide (MoO x ), indicating that molybdenum oxide is an amorphous modification layer.

[0073] 2. Perform a phosphoric acid resistance test on Examples 1 to 3, Comparative Examples 1 to 2 and commercial carbon-supported platinum catalysts in the present invention. Examples 1 to 3, Comparative Examples 1 to 2 and commercial carbon-supported platinum catalysts were placed in a perchloric acid electrolyte solution and a perchloric acid electrolyte solution containing 5 mM phosphoric acid to detect the oxygen reduction polarization curve. The specific test method is as follows: Use an electrochemical workstation to test the catalyst in a three-electrode system; first, use cyclic voltammetry (CV) to scan 30 times in a 0.1 M perchloric acid solution within the range of 0 to 1.2 V vs. RHE at a scan rate of 0.05 V / s to fully activate the catalyst; then use linear voltammetry to scan the oxygen reduction polarization curve in an oxygen-saturated electrolyte within the range of 0 to 1.1 V at a scan rate of 0.01 V / s and an electrode rotation speed of 1600 rpm. The test results are as follows: Figures 4 to 6 As shown. Figure 4 It can be seen that the anti-platinum phosphate-based catalysts prepared in Examples 1 to 3 of the present invention have strong activity and anti-phosphoric acid poisoning performance; among them, the anti-platinum phosphate cobalt catalyst prepared in Example 1 has a mass activity of 5 times that of the commercial carbon-supported platinum catalyst in a perchloric acid electrolyte solution containing 5mM phosphoric acid ( Figure 5 ); at the same time, from Figure 6 As can be seen from (a), the formation of platinum-based alloys can improve the initial activity of carbon-supported platinum (the potential after improvement is 0.925 V vs. RHE, and the half-wave potential of carbon-supported platinum is 0.890 V vs. RHE), but the catalyst that only forms platinum-based alloys has poor anti-poisoning performance (reduced by 84 mV in phosphoric acid solution); Figure 6 As can be seen in (b), the platinum catalyst modified with only molybdenum oxide can improve the anti-poisoning performance (half-wave potential drop of 24 mV in perchloric acid solution containing phosphoric acid), but the initial activity is not improved (0.884 V vs. RHE).

[0074] 3. The accelerated aging test was performed on Example 1 of the present invention and the commercial carbon-supported platinum catalyst. The specific test method was the same as the phosphoric acid resistance test. The catalyst was subjected to a 0.6-1.1V cyclic voltammetry scan in nitrogen-saturated 0.1M perchloric acid. The results are as follows: Figures 7-8 As shown. Figures 7-8 It can be seen that the platinum phosphate-resistant cobalt catalyst prepared in Example 1 of the present invention has excellent chemical stability. After 30,000 cycles of 0.6-1.1V cyclic voltammetry scanning, its mass activity only decreases by about 34%. In contrast, the mass activity of the commercial carbon-supported platinum catalyst decreases by as much as 52% after the same cyclic voltammetry scanning.

[0075] The present invention has been described according to the above embodiments. It should be understood that the above embodiments do not limit the present invention in any form. Any technical solutions obtained by equivalent replacement or equivalent transformation shall fall within the scope of the present invention.
