Embodiment Construction

[0097] Referring to FIG. 1 , a steel frame 10 comprising a room or shed includes columns 12 and beams 14 . The columns 12 are fixed upwardly extending to power bolts, chemical anchors or set bolts (not shown) of the cement slab via additional legs 16 . The ends of the beam 14 and the column 12 are pivotally connected together via a pivot joint 18 .

[0098] Referring to FIG. 2 , each post 12 is generally formed as a U-shaped channel having a bottom wall 22 and opposing parallel end walls 20 .

[0099] The outer end of each end wall 20 has an inwardly directed flange 24 extending in a direction parallel to the bottom wall 22 .

[0100] Referring to Figures 2a and 2b, each beam 14 or each column 12 also has opposing flaps, such as a pair of perforated protrusions 28, each perforated protrusion 28 comprising a wall formed as a perforated wall 20 and 22. One end of the metal strip is fastened to the wall and the other end is partially pressed out of the walls 20 and 22 . The ex...

Abstract

The present invention provides a frame for forming a structure including a room or a shed, or for mounting one or more items to a structure such as a room or a shed. The frame includes at least two first elongated members (168, 170) and first connecting means adapted to connect the at least two first elongated members (168, 170) together. The present invention also provides a frame assembly comprising a plurality of said frames.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to two related but not identical fields, namely (a) frames suitable for forming structures comprising rooms or sheds and (b) devices suitable for mounting on structures comprising rooms or sheds , or a frame placed on the ground. Background technique [0002] The problems that arise in combination with (a) are described in detail below, and the problems that arise in combination with (b) are briefly described. Each technical background has its own problems. [0003] Regarding the field (a), room or shed structures employing stainless steel frames are generally constructed in the following procedure. The concrete slab is laid and the power bolts or set bolts are suitably fastened to the concrete slab in pre-set positions to provide means for securing the stainless steel frame to the concrete slab. The post is then erected substantially vertically and fastened at its lower end with a power or set bolt. The columns are po...
