Abstract

The method includes steps: adding data for indicating set ordinal number of TV program played at specific time period into content descriptor in event information table of electric guidance information for TV program; multiplexing the said electric guidance information and video / audio stream to be sent into transmission stream, and transmitting the stream; receiving the said transmission stream, and picking up the said set ordinal number added in the descriptor; converting the said set ordinal number into corresponding information of set ordinal number, and displaying the said information on a display. The invention also discloses method for encoding and decoding electric guidance information for TV program as well as system of electric guidance for TV program.
