Benefits of technology

The invention is a system for protecting ceiling fan blades. It includes a rod, a fan blade cover, and a hook assembly. The rod can extend and retract, and the fan blade cover can fit over the blades. The hook assembly attaches the fan blade cover to the blades. The rod may have a release button to extend the telescoping end, and there may also be a handle. The technical effect of this invention is to provide a simple and effective way to protect ceiling fan blades.

Problems solved by technology

One drawback to the use of the ceiling fans is the dust and dirt accumulation on the fan blades of the ceiling fan.
Since the fan rotates a considerable amount of dust and dirt may accumulate on the blades during operation.

Embodiment Construction

[0009]The present invention relates to an arm extension and system that is used to cover fan blades of ceiling fans to effectively keep the fan blades clean and to make the removal of dust and dirt convenient. The present invention includes an arm extension that has a telescoping extension that allows for an individual to reach ceiling fan blades with a flexible cover attached to a distal end of the arm extension. A cover hook attaches to the cover and allows the individual to slide a flexible cover over each fan blade of the ceiling fan. The hook is attached to the distal end of the arm extension and the arm extension is extended to a suitable length for use with any ceiling fan. The arm extension includes a telescoping portion and a release button that allows for the extension and retraction of the arm extension as needed. A spandex cover is used for the cover of the ceiling fan blade and once placed over the blade it helps to catch the dust and keep the blades clean in a manner t...

Abstract

A system for ceiling fan blade protection that includes: a rod, where the rod includes a telescoping end; a fan blade cover, where the fan blade cover is capable of fitting over a ceiling fan blade; and a hook assembly, where the hook assembly attaches to the telescoping end and enables the attachment of the fan blade cover to the ceiling fan blade. Preferably, the rod may include a release button, where the release button enables the extension of the telescoping end. Further, the rod may also include a handle.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]Field of Invention[0002]The present invention relates to a ceiling fan blade cover system that provides covers for ceiling fan blades.[0003]Description of Related Art[0004]Ceiling fans are used in various residential homes and other commercial applications in order to circulate air in the room. Ceiling fans extend from the ceiling and include a number of blades that extend from the fan that circulate during operation. One drawback to the use of the ceiling fans is the dust and dirt accumulation on the fan blades of the ceiling fan. Since the fan rotates a considerable amount of dust and dirt may accumulate on the blades during operation. As a result, a user must typically take measures to keep the blades clean. These measures include regular cleaning, dusting, and maintenance of the ceiling fan blades. It would therefore be advantageous to have a system that could address this issue with regard to dust and dirt accumulation on a fan blade of a ceilin...
