[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2013-111732 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In the conventional machine tools described above, the provision of a hose protection tube and an external piping connection port above the central axis increases the overall height, exceeding the shipping dimensions stipulated by the Road Traffic Act, and so the machine must be disassembled before shipping. In this case, the flexible hoses and cables must all be removed, and then the central axis disk and external piping connection port must be removed before shipping. When installing the machine, the central axis disk and external piping connection port must be attached, and the flexible hoses and cables must be reattached and connected, which is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process.

[0005] Therefore, the present disclosure aims to provide a machine tool that can reduce the effort and time required for removal and installation work associated with shipping, etc., even if wiring and piping are run to the pallet exchange device. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In order to achieve the above object, the present disclosure provides a pallet exchange device including a rotating arm that is rotatably and vertically disposed within a cover that defines a processing chamber and a preparation chamber, the rotating arm having both ends that protrude in opposite directions and that can support a pallet, and a hollow central shaft that is integrally erected on the center of rotation of the rotating arm, passes through the cover, and has an upper end that protrudes upward, a wiring and piping holder for holding wiring for power supply and piping for fluid supply at an upper end of the central shaft, the wiring and the piping being routed downward within the central shaft and connected to predetermined locations; the central shaft is divided into an upper shaft on which the wiring and piping holding portion is provided and a lower shaft connected to the lower side of the upper shaft, and an upper manifold fixed to a lower end of the upper shaft and having an upper flow path, and a lower manifold fixed to an upper end of the lower shaft and having a downstream flow path are separably coupled to each other, and in this coupled state, the upper flow path and the downstream flow path are connected to each other, The piping is separated into an upper piping above the upper manifold and a lower piping below the lower manifold, and the upper piping is connected to the upper flow path and the lower piping is connected to the downstream flow path, so that the upper piping and the lower piping are connected via the upper manifold and the lower manifold. The upper manifold is separated from the lower manifold, so that the upper pipe together with the wiring and pipe holding portion can be removed from the lower pipe. In another aspect of the present disclosure, in the above configuration, the upper manifold and the lower manifold are each formed with a through hole that communicates with each other in a coupled state, The wiring is characterized in that it is inserted through each of the through holes and routed within the central axis. Another aspect of the present disclosure is characterized in that, in the above configuration, the upper end of the wiring is detachably connected to the power supply side wiring outside the cover, while the lower end is detachably connected to the preparation chamber side wiring, and the wiring can be removed together with the wiring and piping holding portion by separating the upper manifold from the lower manifold and removing the upper and lower ends of the wiring from the power supply side wiring and the preparation chamber side wiring, respectively. Effect of the Invention

[0007] According to the present disclosure, the upper manifold can be attached and detached from the lower manifold to easily separate and connect the piping. Therefore, even if wiring and piping are routed to the pallet exchange device, the time and effort required for removal and installation work associated with shipping and the like can be reduced. In addition, since the piping is routed within the central axis, there is no need to ensure space for the piping to move outside the central axis, which also leads to a more compact design. [0009] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a plan view of a horizontal machining center as an example of a machine tool, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA, and Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along line BB. The horizontal machining center 1 is provided with a column 3 having a spindle 4 facing forward (left side in Fig. 2) on a bed 2. A machining chamber 5 and a setup chamber 6 in front of the spindle 4 are provided in front of the spindle 4. The machining chamber 5 and the setup chamber 6 are surrounded by a cover 7. The cover 7 has left and right side covers 8, 8 and a top cover 9. Openable doors 10, 10 are provided in front of the setup chamber 6. The covers that close the gap between the column 3 and the side covers 8, 8 are omitted in Figs. 1 and 2. Between the machining chamber 5 and the preparation chamber 6, a pallet exchange device 15 for exchanging the pallet P on the machining chamber 5 side with the pallet P on the preparation chamber 6 side is provided.

[0010] The pallet exchange device 15 includes a rotation mechanism 16 , a lifting mechanism 17 , a rotating arm 18 , a central shaft 19 , and a partition cover 20 . The rotation mechanism 16 is provided on the bed 2 and has a motor and a reduction gear (not shown). The lifting mechanism 17 is provided on the bed 2, rotated by the rotation mechanism 16, and has a cylinder (not shown). The swivel arm 18 is provided integrally with the lifting mechanism 17 and can support a pallet P at both ends protruding in opposite directions. The central shaft 19 is hollow and erected on the lifting mechanism 17 concentrically with the center of rotation thereof, and rises and falls and rotates integrally with the lifting mechanism 17. The partition cover 20, as shown in FIG. 3, separates the machining chamber 5 from the setup chamber 6, and rises and falls and rotates integrally with the central shaft 19. In the pallet exchange device 15, the swivel arm 18 is raised by the lifting mechanism 17 to lift up the pallets P, P supported at both ends, and then the swivel arm 18 is rotated 180° together with the lifting mechanism 17 by the rotation mechanism 16, causing each pallet P, P to swing and move to the opposite side. Then, the swivel arm 18 is lowered together with the lifting mechanism 17, thereby exchanging the pallets P, P.

[0011] 4 and 5, the central shaft 19 penetrates the top cover 9 and protrudes upward, and a wiring and piping holder 22 is provided at its upper end. The wiring and piping holder 22 holds a plurality of cables 23, 23..., a plurality of hydraulic pipes 24, 24..., and one air pipe 25. The cable 23 supplies power to electrical components such as a motor. The hydraulic pipe 24 supplies hydraulic pressure for operation to a cylinder and the like of the lifting mechanism 17. The air pipe 25 supplies air for operation to an arm (not shown) that is provided on the central shaft 19 and moves the workpiece. As shown in FIG. 1, the wiring and piping holding portion 22 includes a support plate 26, a hose protection pipe 27, and a pull-out plate 28. The support plate 26 is attached horizontally to the upper part of the central shaft 19. The hose protection pipe 27 is a chain type, the central end of which is attached to the central shaft 19 and wound around the central shaft 19, and the outer end of which is fixed to the support plate 26 and has horizontal flexibility. Therefore, the hose protection pipe 27 contracts or expands in response to the rotation of the central shaft 19. The cables 23, the hydraulic pipes 24, and the air pipes 25 are inserted through the hose protection pipe 27, and both ends of each are pulled out from the hose protection pipe 27. The central shaft 19 is provided with an inlet 29 for pulling in the cables 23, the hydraulic pipes 24, and the air pipes 25 pulled out from the central end of the hose protection pipe 27.

[0012] The pull-out plate 28 is erected on the support plate 26 in front of the outer end of the hose protection pipe 27. The cables 23, hydraulic pipes 24, and air pipes 25, which are pulled out from the outer end of the hose protection pipe 27, are passed through the pull-out plate 28 and pulled out onto the top cover 9. Each cable 23 drawn out from the drawing plate 28 onto the top cover 9 has an upper connector 30 at its end. A power supply side cable 31 with a connector to be connected to an external power source is fixed onto the top cover 9. The upper connector 30 of each cable 23 is connected to the power supply side cable 31 by coupling the connectors together. The power supply side cable 31 is an example of a power supply side wiring of the present disclosure. Each hydraulic pipe 24 and air pipe 25 drawn out from the drawing plate 28 onto the top cover 9 has an upper nipple 32 at its end. A fluid relay plate 33 to which external hydraulic supply source side pipes and air supply source side pipes (not shown) are connected is fixed onto the top cover 9. Each hydraulic pipe 24 and air pipe 25 is connected to the corresponding hydraulic supply source side pipe and air supply source side pipe by inserting and joining the upper nipple 32 into the fluid relay plate 33.

[0013] The central shaft 19 is divided into an upper shaft 35 and a lower shaft 36 at approximately the same height as the top cover 9. An upper manifold 37 is fixed to the lower end of the upper shaft 35 with a bolt, and a lower manifold 38 is fixed to the upper end of the lower shaft 36 with a bolt. Here, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are joined with four bolts 39, 39..., thereby connecting the upper shaft 35 and the lower shaft 36. The upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are both plates that are circular in plan view, and upper through holes 40 and lower through holes 41 that are semicircular in plan view are formed in roughly one half of the manifold when viewed from above. The upper through holes 40 and the lower through holes 41 are examples of through holes in the present disclosure. In the upper manifold 37, a plurality of upper flow paths 42, 42... are formed penetrating in the vertical direction in approximately the other half of the upper through hole 40, as shown in Fig. 8. Each upper flow path 42 has an upper thread portion 43 on its upper side. In the lower manifold 38, a plurality of downstream flow paths 44, 44... are formed penetrating in the vertical direction in approximately the other half of the lower through hole 41, in the same number and arrangement as the upper flow paths 42. Each downstream flow path 44 has a lower thread portion 45 on its lower side and holds an O-ring 46 at its upper end.

[0014] The upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are assembled by the bolts 39 in a state where the upper through hole 40 and the lower through hole 41 communicate with each other vertically, and the upper flow path 42 and the downstream flow path 44 are aligned coaxially vertically. Here, four connecting holes 47A to 47D, which penetrate the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 in a state where the phases are aligned and the lower manifold 38 side is a screw hole, are provided on the radial outside of the upper through hole 40 and the lower through hole 41 and on the outside of the formation area of the upper flow path 42 and the downstream flow path 44. One of these connecting holes 47A is arranged so that the radial distance from the center is shorter than the other three connecting holes 47B to 47D. In addition, in FIG. 6, the circumferential distance between the connecting hole 47A and the adjacent connecting hole 47B in the counterclockwise direction is set to be slightly smaller than the circumferential distance between the other two connecting holes 47C and 47D. Therefore, when the phases of the upper through holes 40 and the lower through holes 41, and the upper flow path 42 and the downstream flow path 44 do not match, the connecting holes 47A to 47D of the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are not aligned coaxially, thereby preventing assembly errors.

[0015] Each cable 23 drawn from the wiring / piping holding portion 22 into the central shaft 19 is inserted through an upper through hole 40 and a lower through hole 41 of the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38, respectively, and drawn into the lower shaft 36. Then, each cable 23 is drawn into the partition cover 20 from an outlet 50 provided on the side surface of the lower shaft 36, as shown in Figures 4 and 5. A lower connector 51 is provided at the lower end of each cable 23. A relay board 52 that supplies power to the motor of the rotation mechanism 16 and the like is provided in the partition cover 20, and each lower connector 51 is detachably connected to a relay cable 53 drawn from the relay board 52 by coupling the connectors together. The cable 23 is an example of a power supply wiring of the present disclosure. The relay cable 53 is an example of a preparation room side wiring of the present disclosure.

[0016] As shown in Figs. 7 and 8, each hydraulic pipe 24 drawn from the wiring pipe holder 22 into the central shaft 19 is separated into an upper hydraulic pipe 55 in the upper shaft 35 and a lower hydraulic pipe 56 in the lower shaft 36, sandwiching the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38. An intermediate upper nipple 57 is provided at the lower end of each upper hydraulic pipe 55. An intermediate lower nipple 58 is provided at the upper end of each lower hydraulic pipe 56. Each intermediate upper nipple 57 is screwed into the upper threaded portion 43 of the upstream flow path 42 of the corresponding upper manifold 37. Each intermediate lower nipple 58 is screwed into the lower threaded portion 45 of the downstream flow path 44 of the corresponding lower manifold 38. Thus, the upper hydraulic pipe 55 and the lower hydraulic pipe 56 are connected to each other via the upper and lower manifolds 37 and 38. The lower hydraulic pipe 56 is pulled out from the outlet 50 into the partition cover 20 , and a lower nipple (not shown) provided at the lower end is connected to the piping of the lifting mechanism 17 . The hydraulic pipe 24 is an example of a fluid supply pipe of the present disclosure. The upper hydraulic pipe 55 is an example of an upper pipe of the present disclosure. The lower hydraulic pipe 56 is an example of a lower pipe of the present disclosure.

[0017] The air pipe 25 drawn from the wiring pipe holder 22 into the central shaft 19 is also separated into an upper air pipe 60 in the upper shaft 35 and a lower air pipe 61 in the lower shaft 36, sandwiched between the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38. An intermediate upper nipple 57 is provided at the lower end of the upper air pipe 60, and an intermediate lower nipple 58 is provided at the upper end of the lower air pipe 61. The intermediate upper nipple 57 is screwed into the upper threaded portion 43 of the upper flow path 42 of the corresponding upper manifold 37, and the intermediate lower nipple 58 is screwed into the lower threaded portion 45 of the downstream flow path 44 of the corresponding lower manifold 38. Thus, the upper air pipe 60 and the lower air pipe 61 are connected to each other via the upper and lower manifolds 37 and 38. The lower air pipe 61 is drawn from the outlet 50 into the partition cover 20, and a lower nipple (not shown) provided at the lower end is connected to the pipe of the arm provided on the central shaft 19. The air pipe 25 is an example of a pipe for supplying fluid according to the present disclosure. The upper air pipe 60 is an example of an upper pipe according to the present disclosure. The lower air pipe 61 is an example of a lower pipe according to the present disclosure.

[0018] When the wiring and piping holding portion 22 of the pallet exchange device 15 of the horizontal machining center 1 configured as described above is removed for shipping or the like, in each cable 23, the upper connector 30 is removed from the connector of the power supply cable 31 on the top cover 9, and the lower connector 51 is removed from the connector of the relay cable 53. Thus, each cable 23 is separated from the top cover 9 and the relay panel 52 while being held by the wiring and piping holding portion 22, as shown in FIG. Additionally, in each hydraulic pipe 24, each upper nipple 32 is removed from the fluid relay plate 33, and the bolts 39 connecting the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are removed. Thus, the upper hydraulic pipe 55 of each hydraulic pipe 24 is separated from the top cover 9 and the lower hydraulic pipe 56 while being held by the wiring and pipe holding portion 22 and connected to the upper manifold 37, as shown in FIG. 9, without removing the intermediate upper nipple 57 and the intermediate lower nipple 58.

[0019] Regarding the air piping 25, if the upper nipple 32 is removed from the fluid relay plate 33, the upper air pipe 60 can be separated from the top cover 9 and the lower air pipe 61 while being held in the wiring and piping holding portion 22 and connected to the upper manifold 37, as shown in FIG. 9, without removing the intermediate upper nipple 57 and the intermediate lower nipple 58. In this way, the wiring and piping holder 22 can be removed while still holding the cables 23, the upper hydraulic pipes 55, and the upper air pipe 60. When installing, the upper manifold 37 is connected to the lower manifold 38 in phase with each other by bolts 39 in the opposite manner, and the upper hydraulic pipe 55 and the lower hydraulic pipe 56 are automatically connected, and the upper air pipe 60 and the lower air pipe 61 are automatically connected. Each cable 23 is connected to the relay cable 53 by passing it through the upper through hole 40 and the lower through hole 41 inside the central shaft 19.

[0020] In this manner, the horizontal machining center 1 of the above-described form is provided with a pallet exchange device 15 which is rotatably and vertically movable within the cover 7 which forms the machining chamber 5 and the setup chamber 6, and which includes a swivel arm 18 with both ends protruding in opposite directions and capable of supporting a pallet P, and a hollow central shaft 19 which is erected integrally with and stands on the center of rotation of the swivel arm 18, passes through the cover 7 and has an upper end protruding upward, and a wiring and piping holder 22 which holds a cable 23, hydraulic piping 24 and air piping 25 is provided at the upper end of the central shaft 19, and the cable 23, hydraulic piping 24 and air piping 25 are routed downward within the central shaft 19 and connected to predetermined locations. The central axis 19 is divided into an upper axis 35 on which the wiring and piping holding portion 22 is provided, and a lower axis 36 connected to the lower side of the upper axis 35, and is separably connected to an upper manifold 37 fixed to the lower end of the upper axis 35 and having an upper flow path 42, and a lower manifold 38 fixed to the upper end of the lower axis 36 and having a downstream flow path 44, so that in this connected state the upper flow path 42 and the downstream flow path 44 are connected.

[0021] The hydraulic piping 24 is separated into an upper hydraulic pipe 55 above the upper manifold 37 and a lower hydraulic pipe 56 below the lower manifold 38, and the upper hydraulic pipe 55 is connected to the upstream flow path 42 and the lower hydraulic pipe 56 is connected to the downstream flow path 44, so that the upper hydraulic pipe 55 and the lower hydraulic pipe 56 are connected via the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38, while the upper manifold 37 is separated from the lower manifold 38, so that the upper hydraulic pipe 55 can be removed from the lower hydraulic pipe 56 together with the wiring and piping holding portion 22. Similarly, the air piping 25 is separated into an upper air pipe 60 above the upper manifold 37 and a lower air pipe 61 below the lower manifold 38, with the upper air pipe 60 connected to the upper flow path 42 and the lower air pipe 61 connected to the downstream flow path 44, so that the upper air pipe 60 and the lower air pipe 61 are connected via the upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38, while the upper manifold 37 is separated from the lower manifold 38, so that the upper air pipe 60 can be removed from the lower air pipe 61 together with the wiring and piping holding portion 22.

[0022] According to this configuration, the hydraulic pipes 24 and the air pipes 25 can be easily connected and disconnected by attaching and detaching the upper manifold 37 to and from the lower manifold 38. Therefore, even if the cables 23, the hydraulic pipes 24, and the air pipes 25 are routed to the pallet exchange device 15, the time and effort required for removal and installation work during shipping and the like can be reduced. Furthermore, since the hydraulic pipes 24 and the air pipes 25 are routed inside the central shaft 19, there is no need to ensure movement space for the hydraulic pipes 24 and the air pipes 25 outside the central shaft 19, which also leads to compactness.

[0023] The upper manifold 37 and the lower manifold 38 are each formed with an upper through hole 40 and a lower through hole 41 that communicate with each other when connected, and the cable 23 is inserted through the upper through hole 40 and the lower through hole 41 and routed within the central axis 19. Therefore, the cable 23 can also be accommodated within the central shaft 19, leading to further compactness. The upper end of the cable 23 is detachably connected to the power supply side cable 31 outside the cover 7, while the lower end is detachably connected to the relay cable 53. By separating the upper manifold 37 from the lower manifold 38 and removing the upper and lower ends of the cable 23 from the power supply side cable 31 and the relay cable 53, respectively, the cable 23 can be removed together with the wiring and piping holding part 22. Therefore, removal of the wiring / piping holding portion 22 and separation and connection of the cable 23 during assembly can be easily performed.

[0024] Modifications of the present disclosure will be described below. The structures of the upper manifold and the lower manifold are not limited to the above-mentioned forms. The upper and lower manifolds may be, for example, rectangular or polygonal in plan view. The shapes of the upper through holes and the lower through holes may also be changed as appropriate. The upper through holes and the lower through holes may be circular or elliptical instead of semicircular. The upper through holes and the lower through holes do not have to be the same shape or size as long as the wiring can be inserted through them. There may be multiple upper through holes and multiple lower through holes. The number and arrangement of the upper flow paths and the lower flow paths are also not limited to the above-mentioned forms. In the above embodiment, the hydraulic pipes and the air pipes are both separated into upper and lower pipes and connected via upper and lower manifolds, but either the hydraulic pipes or the air pipes may not be separated and may be inserted into the upper and lower through holes of the upper and lower manifolds in the same way as the cables. The connection structure between the pipes and the upper and lower manifolds may also be modified as appropriate. A plug connection may be used instead of screwing in the nipples. The numbers of cables, hydraulic pipes, and air pipes may be increased or decreased as appropriate. Either the hydraulic pipes or the air pipes may be omitted. The structure of the wiring and piping holding portion is not limited to the above-mentioned form. The form of the hose protection pipe can be changed as appropriate. As long as the wiring and piping can be held, it is not necessary to adopt a chain-type hose protection pipe. The present disclosure is not limited to horizontal machining centers and can be applied to other machine tools. [Explanation of symbols]
