Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an application device for applying an application material such as a viscous liquid cosmetic, for example, a concealer, to an application target such as the skin. [Background technology]

[0002] An application device for applying an application material such as a viscous liquid cosmetic, e.g., a concealer, to an application target such as the skin includes a container for holding the liquid cosmetic and an applicator removably attached to the container. A spherical agitator for agitating the liquid cosmetic before application is housed in the container.

[0003] As an application device including such an agitator, Patent Document 1 discloses an application device including a bottle containing nail polish, beads and a spherical valve housed in the bottle, and the bottle is provided with a valve protrusion that opens and closes the spherical valve.

[0004] In addition, Patent Document 2 discloses an application device including a container containing a liquid cosmetic to be dried, such as nail polish, a stirring ball housed in the container, and an applicator. The container is divided into a proximal part and a distal part, and the container includes a stopper between the proximal part and the distal part to prevent the stirring ball housed in the proximal part from moving to the distal part.

[0005] Furthermore, Patent Document 3 discloses an application device including a container containing a liquid cosmetic to be dried, such as nail polish, a stirring ball contained in the container, and an applicator. The cap includes a partition wall for restricting movement of the stirring ball.

[0006] However, in such an application device, the agitator coated with the application material may become stuck inside the container when the application material is being agitated. In particular, if the agitator becomes stuck to the upper wall of the container when it is above the level of the application material, the agitator will not fall to the bottom of the container even when the application device is shaken or rotated, and the agitator will no longer function. [0007] [Patent Document 1] European Patent Application No. 0332487 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 11-179268 [Patent Document 3] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 52-64117 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0008] Therefore, it is an object of the present application to provide an application device for preventing the agitator from sticking to the top wall of the container. [Means for solving the problem]

[0009] The present invention employs the following means to solve the above problems: An application device according to the present invention comprises a container defining a storage space for storing an application material, an applicator removably attached to the mouth of the container and to which the application material is applied, and an agitator for agitating the application material, the container including an upper wall having a through hole formed therein through which the applicator attached to the mouth is inserted, and an outer wall extending downward from the outer periphery of the upper wall, and an anti-sticking protrusion is provided on an inner surface of the container that defines the storage space between the through hole and the outer wall, the anti-sticking protrusion preventing the agitator from sticking to the upper wall between the through hole and the outer wall.

[0010] According to the present invention, when the agitator coated with the coating material moves inside the container while the application device is being shaken, for example, the anti-sticking protrusions prevent the agitator from sticking to the upper wall. Therefore, the agitator coated with the coating material is less likely to hit the upper wall, and therefore the agitator is less likely to stick to the upper wall. In addition, the possibility of the agitator sticking to the upper wall can be reduced without changing the appearance of the container or the shape of the agitator.

[0011] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the anti-sticking protrusions may be provided on the top wall.

[0012] According to the present invention, the anti-sticking protrusions provided directly on the upper wall effectively prevent the stirrer from sticking to the upper wall.

[0013] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the top wall may comprise an inner wall extending from the open edge of the through hole.

[0014] According to the present invention, the applicator protruding from the through-hole in the upper wall can be protected by the inner wall.

[0015] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the lower end of the anti-sticking protrusion may be located higher than the lower end of the inner wall.

[0016] According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the anti-sticking protrusions from being damaged when the application device is shaken.

[0017] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the anti-sticking protrusion may have a rib shape extending between the through-hole in the upper wall and the outer wall.

[0018] According to the present invention, the anti-sticking projections having a rib shape can more reliably prevent the stirrer from sticking to the upper wall.

[0019] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the anti-sticking protrusion has a pin or pillar shape extending downward from the upper wall.

[0020] According to the present invention, the pin-shaped or pillar-shaped anti-sticking protrusion can more reliably prevent the stirrer from sticking to the upper wall.

[0021] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the upper wall may have a polygonal shape when viewed from above, and the anti-sticking protrusion may be provided between a corner of the upper wall and the through-hole.

[0022] According to the present invention, the polygonal upper wall has a wider space between the outer wall and the through hole at its corners, and therefore, by providing anti-sticking protrusions at the corners where the agitator is more likely to stick to the upper wall, the possibility of the agitator sticking to the upper wall can be more reliably reduced.

[0023] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, a plurality of anti-sticking protrusions are provided at intervals around the through-hole in the upper wall.

[0024] According to the present invention, the possibility of the stirrer sticking to the upper wall can be further reliably reduced.

[0025] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the container may include a lower housing including a bottom wall and an outer wall, and an upper housing attached to the lower housing and including an upper wall that closes the upper opening of the lower housing.

[0026] According to the present invention, the upper housing having anti-sticking protrusions can be easily formed by dividing the container into a lower housing and an upper housing and separately forming the upper housing and the lower housing having anti-sticking protrusions.

[0027] In addition, in the application device according to the present invention, a mating wall that fits into the inside of the outer wall of the lower housing may be formed on the outer periphery of the upper wall, and the anti-sticking protrusion may be provided at a distance from the mating wall.

[0028] According to the present invention, by providing an anti-sticking protrusion spaced apart from the mating wall, when the mating wall of the upper housing enters the inside of the outer wall of the lower housing, this space allows the mating wall to more reliably deform inward elastically, making it easier to attach the upper housing to the lower housing by mating.

[0029] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the container may include an inner mounting barrel attached to the top wall so as to extend through the through-hole and surrounding a portion of the applicator.

[0030] According to the invention, the above-mentioned part of the applicator can be protected by an inner fitting tube.

[0031] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the lower end of the applicator may protrude from the lower end of the inner mounting barrel.

[0032] According to the present invention, the application material can be effectively attached to the applicator when the application device is shaken.

[0033] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the upper end of the inner mounting barrel may form the mouth.

[0034] According to the present invention, the applicator is attached to the upper end of the inner mounting barrel.

[0035] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the lower end of the inner mounting cylinder may protrude from the through hole and have a tapered shape in which the outer diameter decreases downward.

[0036] According to the present invention, the lower end of the inner mounting cylinder has a tapered shape, which makes it possible to more reliably prevent the agitator from sticking between the lower end of the inner mounting cylinder and the outer wall.

[0037] Additionally, in the application device according to the present invention, the applicator may include an application member to which the application material is applied, and an attachment cap to which the application member is attached and which is removably attached to the mouth of the container.

[0038] According to the present invention, the attachment cap is used as a handle for applying the coating material attached on the application member to the application target. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

[Figure 5] 4 is a cross-sectional view of the upper housing of the application device shown in FIG. 3. [Figure 6] FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the application device shown in FIG. 1 in use. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0040] Embodiments of the application device according to the invention will now be described with reference to the figures in which the elements are drawn to scale in order to make them easier to see.

[0041] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 , an application device 1 according to one embodiment of the present application includes a cubic container 2 having an opening at the top and containing a liquid cosmetic (application material) C, such as concealer, and a circular rod-shaped applicator 3 that is detachably attached to the container 2 and applies the liquid cosmetic C to an application target, such as skin. The container 2 and the applicator 3 are arranged so that their central axes are aligned on a common axis. Hereinafter, this common axis will be referred to as the device axis O. Additionally, one side of the device axis O on which the container 2 is located within the application device 1 will be referred to as the proximal side, and the opposite side will be referred to as the distal side. Furthermore, the direction intersecting the device axis O will be referred to as the radial direction, and the direction centered on the device axis O will be referred to as the circumferential direction.

[0042] The container 2 includes a cubic container body 11 with an upper opening, a cylindrical inner attachment cylinder 12 attached to the container body 11, and a spherical stirrer 13 housed within the container body 11. The central axes of the container body 11 and the inner attachment cylinder 12 are aligned on the device axis O.

[0043] The container body 11 is formed, for example, using PETG, and includes a lower housing 21 having a cubic shape with an upper opening, and an upper housing 22 having a circular tubular shape and attached to the upper end of the lower housing 21.

[0044] The lower housing 21 includes a bottom wall 31 having a square shape in a top view, and an outer wall 32 having a rectangular tubular shape and extending upward from the outer peripheral edge of the bottom wall 31 . The inner peripheral surface of the upper end of the outer wall 32 is recessed downward to form a step.

[0045] The upper housing 22 includes an upper wall 41 having a square shape when viewed from above, a first mounting tube portion 42 having a circular tubular shape and protruding upward from the open edge of a through hole 41A formed in the center of the upper wall 41, a second mounting tube portion (inner wall) 43 having a circular tubular shape and protruding downward from the open edge of the through hole 41A, and a fitting tube portion 44 having a square tubular shape, the fitting tube portion 44 protruding downward from a portion of the upper wall 41 located slightly radially inward from the outer circumferential edge.

[0046] The upper wall 41 closes the upper opening of the lower housing 21. The outer peripheral edge of the upper wall 41 is disposed on a step of the outer wall 32 and is adhered to the outer wall 32. In addition, the lower surface of the upper wall 41 is provided with a plurality of downwardly protruding anti-sticking protrusions 41B. In this embodiment, four anti-sticking protrusions 41B are provided, and the anti-sticking protrusions 41B are uniformly distributed circumferentially, extend radially, and are centered on the device axis O at the four corners of the square-shaped upper wall 41. In addition, one radial end of each anti-sticking protrusion 41B is connected to the outer circumferential surface of the second mounting cylindrical portion 43, and the other radial end of each anti-sticking protrusion 41B is spaced apart from the mating wall portion 44. Therefore, the anti-sticking protrusions 41B reinforce the second mounting cylindrical portion 43, but do not prevent the mating wall portion 44 from elastically deforming radially inward.

[0047] The vertical length of the first mounting cylinder portion 42 is longer than the vertical length of the second mounting cylinder portion 43. The inner peripheral surface of the upper end of the first mounting cylinder portion 42 is provided with first mounting protrusions 42A for mounting the inner mounting cylinder 12, and the first mounting protrusions 42A extend around the entire circumference of the inner peripheral surface. In addition, the inner surface of a portion of the first mounting cylinder portion 42 located lower than the first mounting protrusions 42A is provided with detent protrusions 42B extending in the vertical direction and evenly distributed around the circumference.

[0048] The second mounting cylinder portion 43 has a support protrusion 43A formed at its lower end to prevent the inner mounting cylinder 12 from passing downward. The fitting pipe portion 44 is fitted inside the outer wall 32 of the lower housing 21. The vertical length of the fitting pipe portion 44 is set so that the fitting pipe portion 44 does not come into contact with the liquid cosmetic C when the application device 1 is on a horizontal surface.

[0049] The inner mounting tube 12 is fitted inside the upper housing 22 and includes a cylindrical body 51 having a tapered cylindrical shape with inner and outer diameters that gradually decrease downward, and a first sealing tube portion 52 that protrudes radially inward from the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 51.

[0050] The opening at the bottom end of the cylindrical body 51 is a communication hole 51A that connects the outside and inside of the inner mounting cylinder 12. A male thread portion 51B is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the upper end portion of the inner mounting cylinder 12 that protrudes upward from the first mounting cylinder portion 42. Therefore, the upper end portion of the inner mounting cylinder 12 that protrudes upward from the first mounting cylinder portion 42 forms the opening of the container 2 to which the applicator 3 is detachably attached.

[0051] Additionally, the inner circumferential surface of the upper end portion of the cylindrical body 51, located downward from the male thread portion 51B, includes a first mounting groove 51C that engages with the first mounting protrusion 42A, and the first mounting groove 51C extends around the entire circumference of the inner circumferential surface. Additionally, the outer circumferential surface of the portion of the cylindrical body 51 located lower than the first mounting groove 51C includes detent grooves (not shown) that extend vertically and are evenly distributed circumferentially. The detent grooves engage with the detent protrusions 42B in the circumferential direction, preventing the cylindrical body 51 from rotating relative to the upper housing 22 about the device axis O. The cylindrical body 51 can be snugly fitted inside the upper housing 22 so as not to rotate relative to the upper housing 22 about the device axis O.

[0052] The first tubular seal portion 52 protrudes radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 51 and extends downward. The first tubular seal portion 52 is fitted inside the second tubular mounting portion 43, and the outer circumferential surface of the first tubular seal portion 52 tightly contacts the second tubular mounting portion 43. In addition, there is a gap between the first tubular seal portion 52 and the support protrusion 43A of the second tubular mounting portion 43, and the lower end of the first tubular seal portion 52 faces the support protrusion 43A in the up-down direction.

[0053] The agitator 13 is a sphere made of metal such as SUS. The size of the agitator 13 is larger than the size of the communication hole 51A of the inner mounting cylinder 12, so that the agitator 13 cannot pass through the communication hole 51A.

[0054] The applicator 3 includes an attachment cap 61 having a cylindrical shape with a top, and an applicator member 62 attached to the inside of the attachment cap 61. The mounting cap 61 is formed, for example, from PETG, and includes a handle body 71 having a cylindrical shape with a lid, a second connecting ring 72 extending radially outward from the lower edge of the handle body 71, an upper mounting tube 73 having a cylindrical shape and extending downward from the outer peripheral edge of the second connecting ring 72, and a second sealing tube portion 74 having a cylindrical shape and extending from the second connecting ring 72 at a position radially inward from the upper mounting tube 73.

[0055] The handle body 71 has an inner circumferential surface provided with a second mounting recess 71A extending along the entire periphery of the inner circumferential surface. The inner peripheral surface of the upper mounting cylinder 73 is provided with a female thread portion 73A. The female thread portion 73A can be threadably engaged with the male thread portion 51B of the inner mounting cylinder 12. The second cylindrical seal portion 74 is configured to be fitted inside the inner mounting cylinder 12 .

[0056] The application member 62 includes a cylindrical sleeve 81 and a brush 82 attached to the sleeve 81 . The sleeve 81 is made, for example, from PP, has a cylindrical shape, and includes an upper cylindrical portion 91 that is fitted inside the mounting cap 61, a lower cylindrical portion 92 that is cylindrical and has the brush 82 attached to it, and a flange 93 formed on the connection portion between the upper cylindrical portion 91 and the lower cylindrical portion 92.

[0057] The outer peripheral surface of the lower end of the upper cylindrical portion 91 is provided with a second mounting projection 91A that engages with the second mounting recess 71A, and the second mounting projection 91A extends over the entire circumference of the outer peripheral surface. A partition wall 92A is provided in the middle portion of the lower cylindrical portion 92 in the up-down direction, dividing the inner space of the lower cylindrical portion 92 into two portions. The upper space of the lower cylindrical portion 92 above the partition wall 92A communicates with the inner space of the upper cylindrical portion 91, and the lower space of the lower cylindrical portion 92 below the partition wall 92A is a space in which the brush 82 is attached. The flange 93 abuts against or is close to the lower surface of the inner peripheral edge of the second connecting ring 72 .

[0058] The brush 82 is made of, for example, PBT, and is inserted into the space in the lower cylindrical portion 92 of the sleeve 81 below the partition wall 92A. The lower end of the brush 82 protrudes into the inside of the container 2 from the communication hole 51A of the inner mounting cylinder 12.

[0059] Next, the use of the application device 1 having such a configuration will be described. First, the user shakes and / or rotates the container 2, causing the agitator 13 to agitate the liquid cosmetic C. During agitation, the agitator 13 moves inside the container 2. As shown in FIG. 6 , for example, the agitator 13, which has been coated with the liquid cosmetic C, moves toward the top wall 41 of the upper housing 22 of the container 2. As the agitator 13 moves toward the top wall 41, it tends to stick to the top wall 41 due to the viscosity of the liquid cosmetic C. However, the agitator 13 collides with the anti-sticking protrusions 41B, and therefore, there is not enough contact area for the agitator 13 to stick to the top wall 41. The agitator 13 then moves away from the top wall 41. In particular, there is a larger space between the outer wall 32 and the second mounting tube portion 43 at the corners of the square-shaped top wall 41, making it more likely that the agitator 13 will stick to the top wall 41. However, the anti-sticking protrusions 41B provided in these areas prevent the agitator 13 from sticking to the top wall 41.

[0060] After stirring the liquid cosmetic C in the container 2, the user removes the applicator 3 from the container 2. The user applies the liquid cosmetic C on the brush 82 to a target such as the skin, and after applying the liquid cosmetic C, attaches the applicator 3 to the container 2.

[0061] With the applicator device 1 having the above-described configuration, the agitator 13, to which the liquid cosmetic C has been applied, moves toward the upper wall 41 while agitating the liquid cosmetic C, collides with the anti-sticking protrusions 41B, and does not adhere to the upper wall 41. This reduces the likelihood of the agitator 13 adhering to the upper wall 41. Additionally, the likelihood of adhering can be reduced without changing the appearance of the container 2 or the shape of the agitator 13. Furthermore, the anti-sticking protrusions 41B have a ribbed shape, which more effectively reduces the likelihood of adhering. Providing the anti-sticking protrusions 41B at the corners of the square-shaped upper wall 41 can also reduce the likelihood of adhering. In particular, the applicator 3, particularly the brush 82, is protected by the second mounting tube portion 43. By dividing the container 2 into the lower housing 21 and the upper housing 22 and separately forming the upper housing 22 and the lower housing 21, which are provided with the anti-sticking protrusions 41B, the upper housing 22, which is provided with the anti-sticking protrusions 41B, can be easily formed. In addition, the anti-adhesion protrusion 41B is positioned with a gap from the mating wall portion 44, and this gap more reliably allows the mating wall portion 44 to elastically deform inward when mating the mating wall portion 44 of the upper housing 22 with the inside of the first mounting tube portion 42 of the lower housing 21, making it easier to attach the upper housing 22 to the lower housing 21 by mating. The attachment cap 61 is used as a handle for applying the liquid cosmetic C attached to the brush 82 to the skin.

[0062] The invention of the present application is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications to the above-described embodiments may be made without departing from the inventive concept of the present application. Cosmetics are not limited to liquids, and cosmetics may have other forms such as semi-liquids, powders, or mixtures of liquids and powders, etc. In addition, the application material is not limited to cosmetics.
