Description

[0001] PACKAGING FOR A HOB

[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0003] The present invention relates to packaging for packing a hob for transport.

[0004] STATE OF THE ART

[0005] For cooking appliances, particularly hobs, packaging specifically designed for transporting hobs after production is utilized. Gas hobs that have been fully assembled are packaged to be protected and transported safely to the end user without deformation. Styrofoam material is predominantly used as a packaging element. The Styrofoam model used for packaging varies depending on the model of the hob. During packaging, cables present on the hob tend to tangle because they are not fixed in any section of the Styrofoam, causing difficulties for the packaging worker. When packed hobs are lifted and lowered for transport, the cable and plug, not being fixed to any section of the Styrofoam, move freely. This movement can cause the cables and plug to strike the pan supports, damaging the structure of the pan supports.

[0006] EP0752377B1 relates to packaging designed for a hob. The invention is directed to packaging for an electrical appliance that allows for efficient placement of a power cable during packaging and ensures proper retention of the power cord within a packaging box. A power plug holding element is formed by creating a cutout section in a foldable packaging material, such as corrugated fiberboard, through which a power plug is passed, and then the packaging material is folded into a general U-shape. The power plug of the electrical device locks into the cutout section of the power plug holding element, and the power cable is then placed between the packaging box and the electrical device.

[0007] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The object of the invention is to provide packaging that prevents damage to the hob during transportation.

[0009] In order to achieve this objective, the invention relates to packaging for a hob comprising a sheet made of Styrofoam and a crown provided on the sheet to accommodate pan supports. When the hob is placed on the sheet, the packaging includes a plug socket provided on the sheet, adjacent to the crown, that restricts the movement of at least one plug of the hob when passed through it. This design ensures that the plug is secured during transport. Securing the plug prevents it from deforming and prevents it from coming into contact with the pan supports, thus avoiding damage to the hob.

[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the plug socket on the sheet includes a first wall positioned upright on the sheet to at least partially surround the plug, a second wall adjacent to the first wall, and a third wall adjacent to the second wall. This arrangement restricts the movement of the plug when the hob is placed on the sheet during transport.

[0011] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the first wall of the plug socket is perpendicular to the second wall and surrounds a free end of the plug, while the second wall is perpendicular to the third wall and surrounds a second end of the plug. This configuration facilitates the placement of the plug into the socket when the hob is placed on the sheet and prevents movement.

[0012] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the packaging includes a support wall provided at a distance from the plug socket and positioned adjacent to the pan support socket, supporting the plug against the second and third walls. This design prevents the plug from moving during transport, avoiding contact with the hob pan supports.

[0013] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, a neck section is provided between the plug socket and the support wall, allowing the handle of the plug to be fixed when the hob is placed on the sheet. The handle is secured in the neck section, preventing it from moving during transport.

[0014] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, a channel is provided between the second wall of the plug socket and the support wall on the sheet. When the hob is placed on the sheet, the channel holds the plug's head securely in place, preventing movement during transport.

[0015] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the sheet includes a cable entry opening, allowing the cable of the plug to pass through. This ensures that the cable is properly placed on the packaging, preventing its movement during transport. In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the pan support socket provided on the sheet has a circular form. This circular shape increases the stability of the burners, preventing issues caused by movement of the burners.

[0016] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the sheet is adjusted to cover the hob's upper surface completely. This ensures that the hob is fully placed on the sheet during transport, preventing damage.

[0017] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0018] Figure 1 is a top view of a representative embodiment of the packaging according to the invention.

[0019] Figure 2 is an enlarged view of the plug socket of the packaging according to the invention.

[0020] Figure 3 is a top view of the packaging with the plug positioned in the plug socket as shown in Figure 2.

[0021] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] In this detailed description, the invention is explained with references to examples without any limitations and is intended solely to clarify the subject matter.

[0023] Figure 1 shows a top view of a representative embodiment of the packaging according to the invention. The packaging, made of Styrofoam, ensures the safe transportation of a hob (1 ) placed inside. The packaging includes at least one pan support socket (18) provided on a sheet (10), aligned with the burners on the upper surface (2) of the hob (1 ). The pan support sockets (18) are circular in form and are arranged at equal distances from each other on the sheet (10). The sheet (10) rests on the upper surface (2) of the hob (1). A plug (20) attached to the end of a cable (22) is placed into a plug socket (14) provided on the sheet (10). The plug socket (14) at least partially surrounds the plug (20), preventing it from moving during the transport of the hob (1 ). The cable (22) of the plug (20) is passed through a cable entry opening (12) formed on one edge (11 ) of the sheet (10).

[0024] Figure 2 shows an enlarged view of the plug socket (14) of the packaging according to the invention. The plug socket (14) is positioned near a corner of the sheet (10). The plug socket (14) includes a first wall (142) extending vertically from the sheet (10). The plug socket (14) also includes a second wall (144) perpendicular to the first wall (142) and a third wall (146) perpendicular to the second wall (144). Together, the first wall (142), second wall (144), and third wall (146) form a C-like shape. A support wall (15) is provided adjacent to the pan support socket (18) and at a distance from the plug socket (14). The support wall (15) includes a first edge (152) parallel to the third wall (146) and a neck section (17). The support wall (15) further includes a second edge (154) perpendicular to the first edge (152) and parallel to the second wall (144). A channel (19) is provided between the second wall (144) and the second edge (154) of the support wall (15).

[0025] Figure 3 shows a top view of the packaging with the plug (20) positioned in the plug socket (14) as shown in Figure 2. The cable (22) of the plug (20) is passed through the cable entry opening (12), as shown in Figure 1. The plug (20) includes a handle (24) and a head (26) intepan supportd with the handle (24). During transportation, the head (26) of the plug (20) is secured in the channel (19) between the second wall (144) of the plug socket (14) and the support wall (15). The handle (24) of the plug (20) is fixed in the neck section (17) between the third wall (146) and the support wall (15). The neck section (17) is equal in width to the width of the handle (24). The handle (24) and the head (26) are thus fixed in place, preventing movement during transport. When the hob (1 ) is placed on the sheet (10), the free end (21) of the plug (20) is supported by the first wall (142), preventing its movement. The second end (23) of the plug (20) is supported by the third wall (146), preventing movement.
