Systems and methods for providing secure access to digital assets

One embodiment is directed to a system for providing secure access to a digital asset, comprising a computing device configured to divide the digital asset into a plurality of portions and to encrypt each of the portions in the plurality using an asset key such that they may be stored on a decentralized peer-to-peer file sharing system; the computing device may be configured to create a manifest document based upon the division of the digital asset and storage of the portions thereof on the decentralized peer-to-peer file sharing system, such that given the access key and the manifest document, the digital asset may be securely reassembled by a user operating a client computing system.

Systems and methods for providing secure access to digital assets

One embodiment relates to a system for providing secure access to a digital asset eligible for promotional redemption by a user, comprising a computing device configured to divide the digital asset into multiple parts and encrypt each of the multiple parts using an asset key so that they can be stored on a distributed peer-to-peer file sharing system, wherein the computing device is configured to create a manifest document based on the division of the digital asset and the storage of the parts on the distributed peer-to-peer file sharing system, and thus the digital asset can be securely reconstructed by a user operating a client computing system, provided that the access key, the manifest document, and the promotional code provided by the user.

Peer-to-peer file sharing using consistent hashing for distributing data among storage nodes

ActiveUS12572301B2Input/output to record carriersTransmissionData fileConsistent hashing
Systems, methods, and network attached storage nodes for peer-to-peer file sharing using consistent hashing for distributing data among storage nodes. A plurality of network attached storage nodes may be interconnected by a network and configured for peer-to-peer communication without a centralized server. When a node receives a user data file, it divides the file into data chunks and determines hashes for those data chunks. It uses consistent hashing of the chunk hashes and storage node addresses to map the data chunks to other nodes for distributed storage.

Chunked file transfer among mobile peer devices

ActiveUS12719946B2Mobile contextPeer-to-peer
Techniques for peer to peer sharing of files in a mobile environment are provided. In response to meeting a communication parameter of a second device, a processing device may determine whether the second device will maintain the communication parameter with a first device for at least a threshold amount of time. An amount of data that can be transferred between the first and second devices during a transfer window with the second device may be determined. Software manifests of the first and second devices may be compared to determine a set of software of the first device that need to be updated. A number of chunks for a first software of the set of software may be received from the second device, the number of chunks based on the amount of data that can be transferred between the first and second devices during the transfer window.
