The invention provides a 10 KV square-wave
voltage generator for checking the performance of an impulse
voltage divider. The 10 KV square-wave
voltage generator for checking the performance of the impulse
voltage divider comprises a high-voltage direct-current power supply, an energy-storage
capacitor arranged in a
metal shielding box, a gas spark switch, an air
storage tank and a
capacitive voltage divider, wherein the high-voltage direct-current power supply is connected with the energy-storage
capacitor, the gas spark switch is connected with the tested
voltage divider, the energy-storage
capacitor is charged through the high-voltage direct-current power supply, and when the charging voltage rises to the
breakdown voltage of the gas spark switch, the gas spark switch breaks down and outputs rising
edge type square-wave voltage to the tested
voltage divider. Compared with the prior art, the 10 KV square-wave
voltage generator for checking the performance of the impulse voltage divider has the advantages that a square-
wave response test can be conducted on
impact resistance voltage dividers on various voltage levels and with various intrinsic standoff ratios and low-damping capacitive voltage dividers, so that the dynamic response performances of the
impact resistance voltage dividers and the low-damping capacitive voltage dividers are judged.
