The CD driver track-seeking system comprises a cyclically-connected in turn digital signal processor, a step-by-step motor, an optical reading head and an analog signal processor. The signal processor has a single span-amount which has a current value. The motor is used for moving the optical reading head from primary position to aim position. The optical reading head is used for receiving the reflection light beam of the CD and converting the beam into analog electronic signals. The analog signal processor is used for converting the electronic signals into digital signals. The digital signalprocessor is used for analyzing the digital electronic signals to obtain the current position of the optical reading head, which is also used for computing the practical value of the single span-amount and correcting the current value using the practical value for next track-seeking operation. A CD track-seeking method is also disclosed.
