Abstract

The invention provides a method and equipment for previewing an application in a portable terminal. The method comprises the following steps of (A) displaying at least one application icon on a screen of the portable terminal; (B) receiving a selection operation used for selecting the preset application icon; (C) responding to the selection operation to obtain preview information of the preset application corresponding to the preset application icon; (D) displaying a preview window for presenting the obtained preview information on the screen. By adopting the method and the equipment for previewing the application in the portable terminal, which is provided by the embodiment of the invention, the preview window for the application can be displayed on the screen of the portable terminal without enabling a user to enter the application, so that the user knows the functions of the application conveniently. In addition, the method and the equipment help to implement interactive operation between the user and the application in the preview window.
