Abstract

The method includes the steps of determining whether the water temperature, measured through a temperature sensor, in a water tank is larger than or equal to a preset temperature or not through a controller; controlling a heating device to heat water in the water tank if the water temperature in the water tank is smaller than the preset temperature till the controller determines that the water temperature, measured through the temperature sensor, in the water tank is larger than or equal to the preset temperature, and controlling a water pump to circulate water in the water heater system within the first preset time if the water temperature in the water tank is larger than or equal to the preset temperature so that sterilization can be conducted at the preset temperature. The method can be used for comprehensive sterilization of the water heater system.
