The air conditioning system is connected with a parameter database through a network and comprises an obtaining module, a connecting module, a central controller and a storage module. The obtaining module is used for obtaining type information of a current air conditioning device and obtaining running parameters corresponding to the type information from the parameter database according to the type information. The connecting module is used for enabling the obtaining module to be in communication with the central controller and transmitting the obtained running parameters to the central controller. The central controller reads the running parameters and stores the running parameters to the storage module for updating. According to the air conditioning system and the parameter updating method, as the running parameters matched with the type are obtained and automatically stored into a storage device of the air conditioning device for updating, the problems that a manual input dial switch is prone to errors, and efficiency is low are solved.
