The method comprises the following steps: terminals initiating a conference, and arranging configuration information of each participating terminal in the conference; a video conference manager receiving the configuration information and forwarding to a video conference scheduler after storage; the video conference scheduler establishing connection with each terminal according to the configuration information; the terminals obtaining audio data, according to a sound energy attenuation model and a maximum likelihood estimation method, constructing a likelihood function, calculating an average optimal position by use of the likelihood function, positioning the position of a speaker through combining the average optimal position with historical data, controlling a camera to find a view of the positioned position, extracting attributes of obtained video streams, and uploading the video streams, the video stream attributes and audio streams which are obtained by the terminals to the video conference scheduler; and the video conference scheduler generating sequences sent to the video streams of the connected terminals according to the configuration information, the video streams, the video stream attributes and the audio streams.
