Abstract

The invention discloses a data transmission system, a data transmission method, an external device and a mobile terminal. The method is applied to the mobile terminal and the external device. When a second data forwarding server of the external device acquires a to-be-transmitted data packet, the to-be-transmitted data packet is compressed, and a compressed data packet corresponding to the to-be-transmitted data packet is obtained; and the compressed data packet is transmitted to a second application processor connected with the second data forwarding server to enable the second application processor to transmit the compressed data packet to the mobile terminal through a preset interface. When the mobile terminal receives the data packet transmitted by the external device, the received compressed data packet is decompressed to obtain a complete to-be-transmitted data packet transmitted by the external device. Happening of a phenomenon that during the data transmission process by the external device and the mobile terminal , as the transmitted data packet is over large, transmission of the data packet is caused to fail can be avoided.
