Abstract

A "data delivery tool" extracts, labels and stores user data or information that may be confined within the application silo during user interaction with any application. Data transfer tools enable the sharing of data that would otherwise be siled across authorized applications and shared between them. Data delivery tools provide a task-centric approach to define and extract structured and semantically meaningful information from source applications by providing multiple semantic models that are individually tailored for a particular source application. The data delivery tool applies the OS's accessibility API, etc. in combination with the semantic model for the source application to scrape user-entered or selected data or information from the source application. The data delivery tool enables and creates new user experiences and increases user efficiency when interacting with various applications by making scraped data or information available to subscription destination applications approved to receive the data or information.
