The steel cable durability tester comprises a main frame, a telescopic device, a first movable pulley, a first fixed pulley group and a load capable of moving up and down along the main frame, wherein a telescopic end of the telescopic device is provided with an end part pulley, and the first fixed pulley group is fixed on the main frame; afirst end of a first steel cable used for being tested is fixed on an upper part of the main frame, a second end orderly goes round the end part pulley and the first movable pulley and then is fixed at the bottom of the main frame; the first end of a second steel cable used for being tested is fixed on the first movable pulley, and a second end goes round the first fixed pulley group and then is connected with the upper part of the load. Through connection of the first movable pulley and the second steel cable, stress on the second steel cable can be doubled, thus, stress on the first steel cable can be different from stress on the second steel cable, namely, when the first steel cable and the second steel cable have the same specification, different stress test for same steel cable can berealized synchronously, and when the steel cables have different specifications, stress test of different steel cables also can be realized synchronously, thus, test efficiency can be improved.
