Abstract

A digital broadcasting terminal having a maximum frequency channel list providing function and a maximum frequency list providing method using the same are provided to produce viewing information whenever a user connects to a specific channel without allowing the user to directly input a favorite channel, update a maximum frequency channel list stored in the terminal, and offer the updated maximum frequency channel list to the user. A digital broadcasting modem(300) receives a digital broadcasting signal. A memory(320) stores a maximum frequency channel list including viewing information about at least one or more channels. When a digital broadcasting terminal is connected to a specific channel through the digital broadcasting modem(300), a control unit(310) produces viewing information about the connection of the specific channel, reflects the produced viewing information to the maximum frequency channel list, and updates the maximum frequency channel list.
