Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle identification system and method. The system comprises a vehicle-mounted extension unit connected with a master unit; the mater unit is connected with a PC machine; and the PC machine is connected with a net-connected computer of a traffic management department by a wireless public network. An identification management control master unit consists of an ultrasonic transmitter and an information processor, wherein the ultrasonic transmitter and the information processor are connected. Besides, a top hollow cylinder is also arranged; and the bottom of the top hollow cylinder is connected with a bottom hollow cylinder. With the method and system, a defect that the correctness and the storage operation of the storage device for storing information of a license plate number and a vehicle type as well as the flow and cost are affected by the time delay due to a long conveying line and data transmission incompatibility of a plurality of media for data transmission in the prior art can be overcome. Therefore, particle impurities removing and cooling of an information processor of the identification management control master unit can be realized; and thus the information processor of the identification management control master unit can be in a normal heat adjusting environment for long time.
