The extraction process comprises the following steps: taking fresh rose petals, washing the fresh rose petals with clear water to remove silt, and draining water; subjecting water-drained rose petals to microwave sterilization; soaking sterilized rose petalswith a salt solution, distilling a mixed solution of the rose petals and the salt solution, after distillation is completed, adding an organic solvent into a fraction for extraction so as to separatean organic phase; and concentrating the organic phase, adding ethanol into a concentrated solution, carrying out uniform mixing under stirring, carrying out filtering so as to remove a filter residue,concentrating a filtrate, and carrying out ultraviolet sterilization so as to obtain the rose essential oil. The extraction process provided by the invention has the following beneficial effects: soaking and distillation extraction are performed by adoption of the salt solution in the process of extraction, so effective components in the rose petals can be easily extracted out, and the yield of the obtained rose essential oil is improved; the rose essential oil provided by the invention has single material source; and the rose essential oil prepared by using the extraction process provided bythe invention is pure, is free of any additives and belongs to a pure natural product.
