[0031] The inventors of the present application have conducted a serious study to solve the above-mentioned problems. As a result, they have found that pressing the switch toward the bottom surface of the housing to accommodate the switch in the housing is effective in improving the waterproofness. On the other hand, they have also found that when the lower surface of the switch is in close contact with the bottom surface of the housing, water that has penetrated into the housing cannot be drained out, and the desired waterproofness cannot be obtained. The present disclosure is completed based on such new insights.

[0032] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In addition, in this specification and the accompanying drawings, there is a situation where the same symbols are given to the components having substantially the same functional structure, thereby omitting repeated descriptions. In addition, in the present disclosure, the X1-X2 direction, the Y1-Y2 direction, and the Z1-Z2 direction are set as mutually orthogonal directions. In addition, the surface including the X1-X2 direction and the Y1-Y2 direction is recorded as the XY surface, the surface including the Y1-Y2 direction and the Z1-Z2 direction is recorded as the YZ surface, and the surface including the Z1-Z2 direction and the X1-X2 direction is recorded as the ZX surface. In addition, for convenience, the Z1-Z2 direction is set as the up and down direction. In addition, a top view refers to observing an object from the Z1 side.

[0033] (First Embodiment)

[0034] First, a first embodiment will be described. The first embodiment relates to a switch device. Figure 1 as well as Figure 2 It is a perspective view showing the structure of the switch device 100 according to the first embodiment. Figure 3 It is an exploded perspective view showing the structure of the switch device 100 according to the first embodiment.

[0035] The switch device 100 of the first embodiment is a switch device for a vehicle. The switch device 100 switches between an open state and a closed state as an object provided in the vehicle moves. Thus, the switch device 100 can detect the state of the object. The switch device 100 is waterproof and can therefore be used outside a vehicle. For example, the switch device 100 can be used as a detection device for detecting the open and closed state of a hood, a door, a trunk lid, etc. of a vehicle.

[0036] like Figure 1 to Figure 3 As shown, the switch device 100 includes a housing 110 , a switch structure 160 and a rod 140 .

[0037] Figure 4 It is a plan view showing the structure of the housing 110 . Figure 5 as well as Figure 6 It is a perspective cross-sectional view showing the structure of the housing 110 .

[0038] The housing 110 is a molded component made of a hard material (such as resin) having insulating properties. The switch structure 160 is accommodated in the housing 110, and the rod 140 is mounted on the housing 110. The housing 110 is formed in a container shape with an upper opening, and the switch structure 160 is accommodated in the housing 110 through the opening.

[0039] The housing 110 has a first bottom surface 111 and a second bottom surface 112 at the bottom. The second bottom surface 112 is arranged around the first bottom surface 111 when viewed from above, and the first bottom surface 111 is deeper than the second bottom surface 112. That is, the outer edge of the second bottom surface 112 is located at a position further outward than the outer edge of the first bottom surface 111. Therefore, there is a height difference between the first bottom surface 111 and the second bottom surface 112. An opening 114A for the lead 150A to pass through and an opening 114B for the lead 150B to pass through are formed on the first bottom surface 111. An annular protrusion 115A is formed around the opening 114A, and an annular protrusion 115B is formed around the opening 114B. Three or more dome-shaped protrusions 113 are formed on the second bottom surface 112, and five dome-shaped protrusions 113 are formed here. For example, at least three of the three or more protrusions 113 are not on the same straight line. The convex portion 113 protrudes toward the Z1 side, that is, the side opposite to the first bottom surface 111 side (Z2 side). The convex portion 113 is a part of the second bottom surface 112.

[0040] The housing 110 has a side plate 116AB and a side plate 116CD parallel to the ZX plane. An engaging hole 118A and an engaging hole 118B are formed in the side plate 116AB. In addition, an inclined surface 117A above the engaging hole 118A and an inclined surface 117B above the engaging hole 118B are formed on the surface of the side plate 116AB that is opposite to the side plate 116CD. The inclined surface 117A and the inclined surface 117B are inclined in a manner that they are separated from the side plate 116CD as they approach the upper end of the side plate 116AB. An engaging hole 118C and an engaging hole 118D are formed in the side plate 116CD. In addition, an inclined surface 117C above the engaging hole 118C and an inclined surface 117D above the engaging hole 118D are formed on the surface of the side plate 116CD that is opposite to the side plate 116AB. Inclined surface 117C and inclined surface 117D are inclined so as to be separated from side plate 116AB as they approach the upper end of side plate 116CD. Side plate 116AB and side plate 116CD are flexible and can be bent in the thickness direction (Y1-Y2 direction).

[0041] Figure 7 It is a perspective view showing the structure of the switch structure 160 . Fig. 8A as well as Figure 8B It is a perspective view showing the structure of the switch 120 . Fig. 9 It is a perspective view showing the relationship between the switch 120, the lead wire 150A, and the lead wire 150B. Fig.10 It is a bottom view showing the relationship between the housing 110 and the lead 150A and the lead 150B.

[0042] As described above, the switch structure 160 is accommodated in the housing 110. The switch structure 160 includes the switch 120, the sealing member 130, the lead wire 150A, and the lead wire 150B.

[0043] The switch 120 includes a housing 120A, a button 121, a sheet 123, a terminal 122A, and a terminal 122B. The housing 120A has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape has two planes parallel to the ZX plane and two planes parallel to the YZ plane. Of the two planes parallel to the ZX plane, bosses 124A and 124B are formed on the plane on the Y2 side, and bosses 124C and 124D are formed on the plane on the Y1 side. The boss 124A is embedded in the engaging hole 118A, the boss 124B is embedded in the engaging hole 118B, the boss 124C is embedded in the engaging hole 118C, and the boss 124D is embedded in the engaging hole 118D. The bosses 124A to 124D are examples of engaging protrusions.

[0044] Terminal 122A and terminal 122B are flat plate-shaped components protruding from the lower surface of housing portion 120A. Lead 150A is electrically and physically connected to terminal 122A, and lead 150B is electrically and physically connected to terminal 122B. For example, lead 150A and lead 150B are fixed to terminal 122A and terminal 122B respectively using solder. It is also possible that lead 150A and lead 150B are fixed to terminal 122A and terminal 122B respectively by welding. A hard material (for example, a metal material) having conductivity is used for terminal 122A and terminal 122B. Button 121 protrudes from the upper surface of housing portion 120A of switch 120, and button 121 is a pressable component for switching switch 120 between an open state and a closed state. For example, if the button 121 is pressed, the switch 120 is switched to the open state (i.e., the terminal 122A and the terminal 122B are in conduction). And, if the button 121 is released from being pressed, the switch 120 is switched to the closed state (i.e., the terminal 122A and the terminal 122B are not in conduction). The sheet 123 is provided on the lower surface of the housing 120A, and supports the terminal 122A and the terminal 122B in an upright state. The housing 120A and the sheet 123 are molded components using, for example, a hard material having insulating properties (e.g., resin, etc.).

[0045] The sealing member 130 seals the portion of the lead 150A fixed to the terminal 122A and the portion of the lead 150B fixed to the terminal 122B. The sealing member 130 has elasticity. The sealing member 130 may include, for example, a hot melt adhesive. The sealing member 130 has: a base 131 whose planar shape in the XY plane is similar to the planar shape in the XY plane of the housing portion 120A; and a protrusion 132 protruding downward (Z2 side) along the lead 150A and the lead 150B from the central portion of the lower surface of the base 131. The base 131 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape. Mainly, the protrusion 132 is accommodated in a space formed by the height difference between the first bottom surface 111 and the second bottom surface 112, and the base 131 and the housing portion 120A are accommodated in a space above the second bottom surface 112.

[0046] Opening 114A is formed larger than the outer periphery of lead 150A, and opening 114B is formed larger than the outer periphery of lead 150B. Therefore, there is a gap 151A between opening 114A and lead 150A, and there is a gap 151B between opening 114B and lead 150B.

[0047] The rod 140 is a member made of a metal thin plate material, one end of which is supported by the housing 110 and extends to the button 121 of the switch 120. The other end of the rod 140 is operated from the outside and pressed down, thereby pressing the button 121 of the switch 120. In addition, the rod 140 can be set to a shape corresponding to the vehicle model or the detection object.

[0048] Here, a method of housing the switch structure 160 in the housing 110 will be described.

[0049] When the switch structure 160 is housed in the housing 110, first, the lead wire 150A is passed through the opening 114A, and the lead wire 150B is passed through the opening 114B. Then, the boss 124A is brought into contact with the inclined surface 117A, the boss 124B is brought into contact with the inclined surface 117B, the boss 124C is brought into contact with the inclined surface 117C, and the boss 124D is brought into contact with the inclined surface 117D.

[0050] From this state, if the switch structure 160 is further pushed into the housing 110, the bosses 124A to 124D move downward along the inclined surfaces 117A to 117D, respectively, and at the same time, the side plates 116AB and 116CD bend outward. If the switch structure 160 is further pushed into the housing 110, the sealing member 130 abuts against the convex portion 113. The sealing member 130 has elasticity, and therefore, the sealing member 130 is compressed in the Z1-Z2 direction.

[0051] From this state, if the switch structure 160 is further pressed into the housing 110, the boss 124A is embedded in the engagement hole 118A, the boss 124B is embedded in the engagement hole 118B, the boss 124C is embedded in the engagement hole 118C, and the boss 124D is embedded in the engagement hole 118D. As a result, the outward pressure on the side plate 116AB and the side plate 116CD by the bosses 124A to 124D is released, and the housing 110 and the switch 120 snap-fit. In addition, if the switch structure 160 is stopped from being pressed in, the sealing member 130 compressed in the Z1-Z2 direction wants to restore its original shape, but since the bosses 124A to 124D are respectively embedded in the engagement holes 118A to 118D, the sealing member 130 remains in the compressed state. Therefore, the sealing member 130 is firmly attached to the sheet 123 of the switch 120.

[0052] Fig.11 It is a perspective cross-sectional view showing the relationship between the sealing member 130 and the housing 110 in a state where the housing 110 is snap-engaged with the switch 120 . Fig.12 It is a front cross-sectional view showing the relationship between the sealing member 130 and the housing 110 in a state where the housing 110 is snap-engaged with the switch 120 .

[0053] like Fig.11 as well as Fig.12 As shown, the lower surface of the base 131 abuts against the convex portion 113 provided on the second bottom surface 112, and the portion of the base 131 abutting against the convex portion 113 is recessed. That is, the sealing member 130 is compressed along the Z1-Z2 direction between the switch 120 and the second bottom surface 112. In addition, around the base 131 held up by the convex portion 113, the second bottom surface 112 and the lower surface of the base 131 are separated from each other, and a second space 162 exists between the second bottom surface 112 and the lower surface of the base 131. In addition, the upper surfaces of the raised portions 115A and 115B are separated from the lower surface of the protrusion 132, and a first space 161 exists between the upper surfaces of the raised portions 115A and 115B and the lower surface of the protrusion 132.

[0054] In addition, a drainage path such as a groove connecting the outer edge and the inner edge of the second bottom surface 112 in a plan view may be formed on the second bottom surface 112. The space in such a drainage path can also function as the second space.

[0055] In addition, a drainage path such as a groove connected to the opening 114A or the opening 114B may be formed on the first bottom surface 111. The space in such a drainage path can also function as the first space. In addition, an opening for drainage other than the opening 114A and the opening 114B may be formed on the first bottom surface 111.

[0056] As described above, in the switch device 100 of the first embodiment, the opening 114A through which the lead wire 150A passes and the opening 114B through which the lead wire 150B passes are formed in the first bottom surface 111, and the sealing member 130 abuts against the second bottom surface 112. In addition, the second bottom surface 112 is located closer to the switch 120 than the first bottom surface 111. Therefore, even if water intrudes into the housing 110, the water can be discharged to the outside from the first bottom surface 111 through the gap 151A of the opening 114A and the gap 151B of the opening 114B.

[0057] Moreover, tensile loads in various directions are applied to the leads 150A and 150B on the outside of the housing 110, but the close contact between the leads 150A and 150B and the sealing member 130 and the close contact between the sealing member 130 and the switch 120 can be well maintained. For example, when a tensile load toward the Z2 side acts on the leads 150A and 150B, since the leads 150A and 150B are fixed to the terminals 122A and 122B by soldering or the like, the switch 120 compresses the sealing member 130 toward the second bottom surface 112. Therefore, the fixing portion obtained by soldering or the like is strengthened, and it is difficult for the leads 150A and 150B to peel off from the sealing member 130 and the sealing member 130 to peel off from the switch 120. Furthermore, when a tensile load in any direction in the XY plane acts on the lead 150A and the lead 150B, the tensile load is converted into a tensile load in the opening 114A and the opening 114B toward the Z2 side. Therefore, similarly to the case where a tensile load in the Z2 side acts on the lead 150A and the lead 150B, the fixing portion obtained by soldering or the like is strengthened, and it is difficult for the lead 150A and the lead 150B to peel off from the sealing member 130 and the sealing member 130 to peel off from the switch 120. Thus, it is possible to maintain waterproofness and improve the strength against tensile loads in various directions.

[0058] In addition, the second bottom surface 112 is provided around the first bottom surface 111 in a plan view, and the outer edge of the second bottom surface 112 is located outside the outer edge of the first bottom surface 111. Therefore, the switch structure 160 can be easily accommodated in the housing 110 from above.

[0059] Furthermore, since the first space 161 is present between the sealing member 130 and the first bottom surface 111 , water that has intruded into the housing 110 can be more reliably discharged to the outside.

[0060] In addition, a drainage path communicating with the space outside the housing 110 may be formed on the first bottom surface. Water that has entered the housing 110 can be reliably discharged to the outside through the drainage path.

[0061] Furthermore, the sealing member 130 has elasticity, and the housing 110 is snap-fitted to the switch 120 when the sealing member 130 is compressed between the switch 120 and the second bottom surface 112. Therefore, the sealing member 130 is firmly attached to the switch 120, and even if a tensile load is applied to the lead wires 150A and 150B, the sealing member 130 is extremely difficult to be peeled off from the switch 120. Therefore, excellent waterproofness can be obtained.

[0062] In addition, the housing 110 includes: a side plate 116AB, which is connected to the side of the switch 120 and is formed with a snap-fit hole 118A and a snap-fit hole 118B; and a side plate 116CD, which is formed with a snap-fit hole 118C and a snap-fit hole 118D, and the switch 120 has bosses 124A to 124D on the side thereof that are embedded in the snap-fit holes 118A to 118D. Therefore, the housing 110 and the switch 120 can be snap-fitted more reliably.

[0063] Furthermore, since the second space 162 exists between the second bottom surface 112 and the sealing member 130 , water that has intruded into the housing 110 can easily flow from the second bottom surface 112 toward the first bottom surface 111 .

[0064] In addition, the second bottom surface 112 has a convex portion 113 protruding toward the opposite side (Z1 side) of the first bottom surface 111 side (Z2 side), and the sealing member 130 abuts against the convex portion 113. Therefore, it is easy to ensure the second space 162 between the second bottom surface 112 and the sealing member 130. In addition, the sealing member 130 is lifted upward by the convex portion 113, so that the adhesion strength between the sealing member 130 and the switch 120 can be improved.

[0065] (Second Embodiment)

[0066] Next, a second embodiment will be described. The second embodiment relates to an opening and closing sensing device including a switch device 100 . Fig.13 1 is a perspective view showing the appearance of an opening and closing sensing device 200 according to the second embodiment (in a state where the engine hood is closed). Fig.14 1 is a perspective view showing the appearance of an opening and closing sensing device 200 (in a state where the engine hood is opened) according to the second embodiment.

[0067] The opening and closing sensing device 200 of the second embodiment is a device for sensing the opening and closing state of the engine hood provided to the vehicle. Fig.13 As shown, the opening and closing sensing device 200 is configured to include the switch device 100 of the first embodiment, a base plate 210 and a cam plate 220 .

[0068] The substrate 210 is a component made by processing a metal and flat plate-shaped material. The substrate 210 fixes the switch device 100 near the engine cover of the vehicle. In addition, the substrate 210 supports the cam plate 220 so that it can rotate freely. In addition, the substrate 210 can be set to a shape corresponding to the vehicle model and the assembly position. That is, the opening and closing sensing device 200 of this embodiment can be applied to multiple vehicle models and multiple assembly positions by appropriately changing the shape of the substrate 210. The substrate 210 is an example of a fixed component.

[0069] The cam plate 220 is a metal, flat-plate-shaped component. The cam plate 220 has a shaft 220A supported by the base plate 210. Thus, the cam plate 220 can rotate freely around the shaft 220A. The cam plate 220 has a U-shaped rod 222 that can engage with the striker 300 of the engine cover. Thus, as the cam plate 220 opens and closes the engine cover, the rod 222 is operated by the striker 300, thereby enabling the cam plate 220 to rotate. The cam plate 220 also has a cam 221 that is a portion that protrudes in the radial direction relative to other portions. The cam 221 is a portion that presses the rod 140 of the switch device 100 as the cam plate 220 rotates. By having such a structure, the cam plate 220 can convert the opening and closing action of the engine cover into the switching action of the switch 120 provided in the switch device 100. The cam plate 220 is an example of a conversion component.

[0070] like Fig.13 As shown, when the engine cover is closed, the rod portion 222 of the cam plate 220 engages with the lock 300 of the engine cover. As a result, the cam plate 220 maintains a state of being rotated at a predetermined angle. In this state, the cam portion 221 of the cam plate 220 is located at a position where the rod portion 140 of the switch device 100 is not pressed. As a result, the switch device 100 is in a closed state.

[0071] On the other hand, Fig.14 As shown, when the engine hood is opened, the lock 300 of the engine hood is pulled upward, and the rod 222 of the cam plate 220 is pulled upward by the lock 300. As a result, the cam plate 220 rotates clockwise around the shaft 220A. At this time, the cam 221 of the cam plate 220 presses the rod 140 of the switch device 100. As a result, the rod 140 presses the button 121 of the switch 120. As a result, the switch device 100 is in the open state.

[0072] As mentioned above, although the preferred embodiments and the like have been described in detail, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments and the like, and various modifications and substitutions can be made to the above-mentioned embodiments and the like without departing from the scope described in the claims.

[0073] For example, in the above-mentioned embodiment, the switch device of the present invention is applied to the opening and closing sensing device 200 for sensing the opening and closing state of the engine hood of the vehicle, but it is not limited to this. For example, the switch device of the present invention can also be applied to other sensing devices for sensing the state of doors other than the engine hood of the vehicle (for example, the trunk lid, the car door, etc.). In addition, the switch device of the present invention is not limited to vehicles, and can also be applied to any other device (for example, aircraft, ships, industrial machinery, home appliances, etc.).

[0074] Furthermore, for example, in the switch device 100 of the above embodiment, a configuration without providing the lever 140 (ie, a configuration in which the button 121 of the switch 120 is directly pressed from the outside) may be adopted in accordance with a device to which the switch device 100 is applied.

[0075] Furthermore, for example, in the switch device 100 of the above embodiment, a switch having three or more terminals may be used instead of the switch 120 having two terminals, and the number of lead wires may be changed accordingly.

[0076] Furthermore, for example, in the switch device 100 of the above-described embodiment, other types of switches (for example, a toggle switch, a seesaw switch, etc.) may be used instead of the switch 120 (a push button switch).

[0077] This international application claims the benefit of priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2019-040372 filed on March 6, 2019, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
