Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a film roll packaging structure, and more particularly to a film roll packaging structure and a film roll packaging method for reducing film roll damage. [Background technology]
[0002] For products in the form of films, such as metal foil or polymer film, the products in the form of films are usually wound around a core to form a film roll for easy transportation.
[0003] Figure 1 Schematic diagram of a conventional film roll wrapped by a buffer layer. Figure 1 Generally speaking, in order to prevent the film roll 12 from being damaged due to collision during transportation, a buffer layer 14 is usually provided along the arc outer circumference 12S of the film roll 12 or further at both ends of the film roll 12 to protect the film roll. In addition, in order to prevent relative displacement between the buffer layer 14 and the film roll 12, an adhesive tape 16 is generally used to fix one end of the buffer layer 14 to the arc outer circumference 12S of the film roll 12.
[0004] However, when fixing one end of the buffer layer 14 to the arcuate outer circumference 12S of the film roll 12, it is generally necessary to apply a certain external force (e.g., an external force directed toward the core) to the adhesive tape 16 so that one end of the adhesive tape 16 is bonded to the arcuate outer circumference 12S of the film roll 12. This external force is not only applied to the adhesive tape 16, but also further applied to the film roll 12 below the adhesive tape 16. Since the film roll 12 is easily plastically deformed by external force, or the surface structure of the film roll 12 is easily damaged by external force, the above-mentioned process of bonding the adhesive tape 16 usually damages the film roll 12 within a certain depth below the adhesive tape 16, and the damaged sections of the film roll 12 cannot be used due to deformation, thereby increasing the cost.
[0005] Therefore, it is still necessary to provide a film roll packaging structure and a film roll packaging method to solve the deficiencies in the prior art. [Summary of the invention]
[0006] In view of this, the present disclosure provides a film roll packaging structure and a film roll packaging method to solve the deficiencies in the prior art.
[0007] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a film roll packaging structure is provided, comprising a film roll body and a buffer layer. The film roll body comprises a roll core and a film wound around the roll core, and the buffer layer is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film. One end of the buffer layer is covered by the inner side surface of the end of the film, and the thickness of the buffer layer is between 1 and 20 mm.
[0008] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, a film roll packaging method is provided, comprising: obtaining a film roll body, the film roll body comprising a roll core and a film wound around the roll core; obtaining a buffer layer; covering one end of the buffer layer with the inner side surface of the end of the film to form an overlapping area between the end of the film and one end of the buffer layer; fixing at least a portion of the end of the film to the buffer layer, wherein at least a portion of the end of the film overlaps with the overlapping area; and after fixing at least a portion of the end of the film to the buffer layer, winding the buffer layer around the outer peripheral surface of the film.
[0009] According to the above embodiment, since one end of the buffer layer is covered by the inner side of the end of the film, the buffer layer can be sandwiched between the inner side of the end of the film and the outer peripheral surface of the next film. Therefore, even if an external force directed toward the winding core is applied to the end of the film, the external force can be completely or partially absorbed by the buffer layer, so that the film roll under the buffer layer will only be subjected to a slight external force, thereby avoiding damage to the film roll.

[0024] It should be noted that, without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure, the technical features in the different implementation modes and embodiments described below may be replaced, reorganized, and mixed with each other to form other aspects and embodiments.
[0025] The film roll packaging structure disclosed in the present invention at least comprises a film roll body and a buffer layer. The film roll body comprises a roll core and a film wound around the roll core; the buffer layer is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film, and one end of the buffer layer is covered by the inner side surface of the end of the film. Part of the buffer layer is fixed to the end of the film. The thickness of the buffer layer is between 1 and 20 mm.
[0026] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, a film roll packaging structure includes a film roll body, a buffer layer, a connecting piece, and an anti-rust film. Figure 2 The film roll used in this embodiment is described. Figure 2 The film roll 100 includes a core 120 and a film 110. The core 120 is used to support the film 110 so that the film 110 does not collapse toward the center of the film roll 100 after being rolled up. The film 110 is a continuous layer wound on the outer peripheral surface 120A of the core 110. Therefore, the film 110 after being rolled up will be cylindrical and have a circular outer peripheral surface 110A and two ends 100A.
[0027] The core 120 can be a solid or hollow cylinder. When the long axis centerline A is used as the rotation center of the core 120, the film 110 can be rolled up or unrolled by rotating the core 120 in the forward or reverse direction. The core 120 is a hollow cylinder having an outer circumference 120A and an inner circumference 120B. The outer circumference 120A and the inner circumference 120B have a certain thickness in the radial direction, for example, 1 cm to 15 cm, but not limited thereto. The hollow part of the core 120 can be used to accommodate a rod-shaped axis (not shown), so the core 120 can be driven to rotate by rotating the axis. The material of the core 120 can be paper, wood, metal, resin (polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyimide, polyamide, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, polybutylene rubber, or nitrile rubber, etc.), or reinforced resin, but not limited thereto.
[0028] The film 110 is a continuous thin layer in a strip shape and includes two oppositely disposed surfaces, such as an outer peripheral surface 110A and an inner peripheral surface 110B. The film 110 is flexible and its thickness T1 may be 1 to 210 μm, but is not limited thereto. When the winding core 120 is continuously rotated to wind up the film 110, the inner peripheral surface 110B of the outer ring film 110 will cover the outer peripheral surface 110A of the adjacent inner ring film 110 until the film 110 is wound to the very end. The film 110 wound on the winding core 120 as a whole will have a certain thickness T2 in the radial direction, such as 2 cm, 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm, 50 cm, or other values falling within the range of 2 cm to 50 cm, but is not limited thereto. In addition, the film 110 will include a machine direction MD (or length direction) and a transverse direction TD (or width direction) perpendicular to the machine direction. When the film 110 is being rolled up or unrolled, the film 110 mainly moves along the machine direction MD but does not move along the transverse direction TD.
[0029] The film 110 may be a metal foil (copper foil, aluminum foil, tin foil, alloy foil, etc.), a resin film (polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film, polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film, ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) film, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) film, polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) film, polybutylene succinate (PBS) film, thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) film, etc.), or a composite film, but is not limited thereto. Among them, the metal foil may be an electrolytic foil or a calendered foil, but is not limited thereto. In addition, in view of the fact that metal foil is more susceptible to external compression and irreversible deformation than polymer film, when the film 110 is a metal foil, the buffer layer in the film roll packaging structure can effectively prevent the metal foil from being damaged. Therefore, the film 110 of the film roll packaging structure disclosed in the present invention is preferably a metal foil.
[0030] Since the film 110 is thin and / or at least one surface of the film 110 includes a microstructure, the film 110 is easily damaged by external forces. Therefore, a buffer layer is provided on the periphery of the film roll 100 to prevent the outer ring film 110 of the film roll 100 from being plastically deformed by external forces, or to prevent the surface structure of the outer ring film 110 from being damaged by external forces. In this embodiment, the buffer layer is provided in the film roll packaging structure as shown in the following example. Figure 3 shown.
[0031] Reference Figure 3 The film roll packaging structure 200 includes a film roll 100 and a buffer layer 210 wound around the outer periphery of the film roll 100. One end of the buffer layer 210 is sandwiched between the outermost and inner circles of the film 110, and a cavity 114 is generated accordingly. In addition, in order to avoid relative displacement between the buffer layer 210 and the film roll 100, a connecting member 230, such as an adhesive tape, can be provided to fix the two ends of the connecting member 230 to the outermost circle of the film 110 and to the buffer layer 210, respectively, so that the buffer layer 210 and the film roll 100 are relatively fixed.
[0032] Figure 4 is a schematic side view of a film roll packaging structure, for example, Figure 3Schematic diagram of the film roll packaging structure viewed along the transverse direction TD. According to the relative positional relationship between the different sections in the buffer layer 210 and the film roll body 100, the buffer layer 210 can be regarded as including a starting end 212, a middle section 214, and a terminal section 218. Among them, the starting end 212 is a section close to the film end 112, and a portion of the outer peripheral surface 210A of the starting end 212 will be covered by the inner peripheral surface 110B of the film end 112. Therefore, the starting end 212 will be sandwiched between the film end 112 and the next inner circle of the film 110, and a cavity 114 will be generated. The two ends of the middle section 214 are respectively connected to the starting end 212 and the terminal section 218, and are arranged along the outer peripheral surface 110A of the film roll body 100. The end portion 218 may be a section close to the film end 112, but is not limited thereto. For example, the inner side 210B of the end portion 218 may cover both the film end 112 and the beginning portion 212, or may further extend to cover part of the middle section 214. It should be noted that Figure 2 The terminal portion 218 shown is a partially unfolded schematic diagram, so the inner side surface 210B of the terminal portion 218 in the film roll packaging structure 200 preferably covers the starting end portion 212 rather than being suspended in the air.
[0033] The buffer layer 210 is usually made of foam material, such as expanded polyethylene (EVE), ethylenevinyl acetate foam, polyurethane foam, polystyrene, polypropylene, reticulated polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride / nitrile rubber (PVC / Nitrile), EPDM rubber, etc., but not limited thereto. In addition, in order to ensure that the buffer layer 210 exhibits the required buffering properties, the thickness T3 of the buffer layer 210 can be 1 to 20 mm, and / or the ratio between the thickness T3 of the buffer layer 210 and the thickness T1 of the film 100 is greater than 4.
[0034] Since the buffer layer 210 is disposed on the inner circumferential surface 110B of the end of the film 110, even if a certain external force (such as an external force directed toward the winding core 120) is applied to the connector 230 during the process of fixing the connector 230 to the film end 112 and the beginning 212, the external force will be buffered or absorbed by the beginning 212 below the connector 230, and will not be further transmitted to the film roll 100 below the beginning 212. Therefore, for a film 110 that is easily plastically deformed by an external force, or a film 110 whose surface structure is easily damaged by an external force, the film 110 can be effectively prevented from being damaged by the beginning 212 by disposing the beginning 212 below the connector 230.
[0035] In addition, in order to prevent external moisture, oxides, and / or pollutants from penetrating through the buffer layer 210 and oxidizing or contaminating the film roll 100, one or more layers of anti-rust film 220 may be additionally provided between the buffer layer 210 and the film roll 100 as needed to prevent the film roll 100 from being oxidized or contaminated. In the present embodiment, an anti-rust film 220 is further provided. The thickness T4 of the anti-rust film 220 may be less than the thickness T3 of the buffer layer 210, for example, 0.01 to 1 mm. The width of the anti-rust film 220 generally does not cover the two ends 100A of the film roll 110, that is, the width of the anti-rust film 220 is approximately equal to the width of the film roll 110 or slightly larger than the width of the film roll 110. This arrangement ensures that after the anti-rust film 220 is used to package the film roll 110, the entire width of the film roll 110 is protected by the anti-rust film 220. In this embodiment, the width of the anti-rust film 220 is slightly larger than the width of the film roll 110 by about 10 to 20 mm.
[0036] The anti-rust film 220 may include a main substrate and additives. The main substrate may be polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), oriented polystyrene (OPS), polypropylene (PP), polylactic acid (PLA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a mixture of the above materials, a modified product of the above materials, a multi-layer composite structure of the above materials, or paper, and the additive may be an oxidizing rust inhibitor (volatile corrosion inhibitor, VCI) and / or a moisture-proof agent.
[0037] On the other hand, depending on different needs, an antistatic layer (not shown), such as paper, may be additionally provided between the antirust film 220 and the film roll 110 to achieve an antistatic effect, or the antirust film 220 may be directly replaced by the antistatic layer (not shown).
[0038] Figure 5 It is a partial three-dimensional schematic diagram of this embodiment, which illustrates Figure 4 Area R. Figure 5, the film end 112 and the starting end 212 include an overlapping area O, and the length L of the overlapping area O in the mechanical direction of the film 110 is more than 1 cm, for example, 1 cm to 50 cm, but not limited thereto. When the overlapping area O is within the above range, the connector 230 can be allowed to have a larger adhesion range, so when the connector 230 is fixed, it can be ensured that the buffer layer 210 is set below the connector 230, so that the connector 230 can be prevented from accidentally damaging the film roll 110 outside the overlapping area O, thereby more effectively protecting the film roll 110. In addition, the connector 230 can be in a strip shape, such as a tape with lines, and includes a first connecting end 232 and a second connecting end 234. The first connecting end 232 overlaps the overlapping area O and is fixed to the film end 112 through an adhesive or other fixing means. The second connecting end 234 overlaps the starting end 212 and is fixed to the starting end 212 of the buffer layer 210 through an adhesive or other fixing means. Therefore, by disposing the connecting member 230 , the film end 112 and the start end 212 will not generate relative displacement in the mechanical direction of the film 110 .
[0039] Figure 6 FIG. 1 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a variation of the present embodiment, illustrating a local area of the film roll packaging structure. Figure 6 The film roll packaging structure 200 shown is similar to Figure 5 The main difference of the illustrated film roll packaging structure 200 is that the connectors 230 exist in pairs and are respectively arranged on both sides of the film end 112. Similarly, the first connecting end 232 of each connector 230 overlaps the overlapping area O and is fixed to the film end 112 through an adhesive, while the second connecting end 234 overlaps the side of the starting end 212 and is fixed to the side of the starting end 212 through an adhesive. Therefore, this variation not only prevents the film end 112 and the starting end 212 from relative displacement in the mechanical direction of the film 110. In addition, the connection between the film end 112 and the buffer layer 210 can be further strengthened, making it less likely to be displaced in the transverse direction TD. In this way, this variation illustrates that more than one connector 230 can be used for fixing, and the number can be adjusted as needed, and is certainly not limited to that shown in this variation.
[0040] Figure 7 FIG. 2 is a perspective view of another variation of the present embodiment, illustrating a partial area of the film roll packaging structure. Figure 7 , the film roll packaging structure illustrated is similar to Figure 5 The main difference between the film roll packaging structure shown is that Figure 7 It is replaced by adhesive 240 Figure 5The connecting piece 230 is provided so that the adhesive 240 is provided in the overlapping area O between the film end 112 and the starting end 212. Therefore, the adhesive 240 can be used to bond the part of the inner circumference 110B of the film end 112 to the part of the outer circumference 210A of the starting end 212. In this way, this variation illustrates that the connecting piece 230 is not necessarily required to fix the film end 112 to the starting end 212 of the buffer layer 210, but the adhesive 240 can be used to replace the connecting piece 230. In addition, the connecting piece 230 and the adhesive 240 can also be used at the same time, depending on actual needs.
[0041] Figure 8 and Fig. 9 The film roll packaging structure 300 is the same as the above embodiment, and further includes an anti-rust end film 250 , a buffer end cover 260 , and a protective film 280 .
[0042] The anti-rust end film 250 and the buffer end cap 260 are disposed at both ends 100A of the film roll 110. The composition of each anti-rust end film 250 may be similar to the anti-rust film 220, which can prevent external moisture, oxides, and / or pollutants from penetrating into the film roll 110 through both ends 100A. The composition of each buffer end cap 260 may be similar to the buffer layer 210, which can prevent the external force applied to the buffer end cap 260 from being transmitted to the adjacent end 100A, thereby effectively avoiding damage to the film 110. Among them, the thickness T5 of each anti-rust end film 250 may be less than the thickness T6 of each buffer end cap 260, but is not limited thereto.
[0043] It is worth noting that each anti-rust end film 250 and the anti-rust film 220 are not continuous layers, so each anti-rust end film 250 can be detached from the anti-rust film 220, which increases the ease of packaging. In addition, the anti-rust end film 250 and the buffer end cover 260 can exist independently, and are not limited to existing at the same time, depending on actual needs.
[0044] The protective film 280 will wrap the buffer layer 210 and the buffer end film 260. In addition to preventing external moisture, oxides, and / or pollutants from penetrating into the film roll 110, the protective film 280 can also be used to fix the anti-rust end film 250 and the buffer end film 260 so that the anti-rust end film 250 and the buffer end film 260 will not separate from the film roll 110. On the other hand, since the outer peripheral surface and both ends of the film roll 110 can be covered by the buffer layer 210 and the buffer end film 260 when the protective film 280 is wrapped, the external force applied when the protective film 280 is wrapped can be absorbed by the buffer layer 210 and the buffer end film 260, and will not be transmitted to the film roll 110.
[0045] The protective film 280 may include a main substrate, which may be polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), oriented polystyrene (OPS), polypropylene (PP), polylactic acid (PLA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a composite of the above materials, a mixture of the above materials, or a modified product of the above materials or a multi-layer composite structure of the above materials.
[0046] Fig.10 is a flow chart of the film roll packaging method disclosed in the present invention, which can be applied to any of the aforementioned embodiments. Fig.10 , in step 402, a film roll is obtained, the film roll comprising a core and a film wound around the core. In step 404, a buffer layer is obtained. Depending on actual needs, step 402 and step 404 can be performed simultaneously or sequentially. Afterwards, in step 406, the inner side surface of the end of the film covers one end (or the starting end) of the buffer layer, so that an overlapping area is formed between the end of the film and the end of the buffer layer. Afterwards, in step 408, at least a portion of the end of the film is fixed to the buffer layer, wherein at least a portion of the end of the film overlaps with the overlapping area. Subsequently, step 410 is performed, and after at least a portion of the end of the film is fixed to the buffer layer, the buffer layer is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film.
[0047] For a film roll packaging structure provided with an anti-rust film, the film roll packaging method may further include the following steps. For example: obtaining an anti-rust film; overlapping the anti-rust film and the buffer layer; covering one end of the buffer layer and one end of the anti-rust film with the inner side surface of the end of the film; and winding the buffer layer and the anti-rust film around the outer peripheral surface of the film. When the buffer layer and the anti-rust film are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film, the anti-rust film does not cover both ends of the film roll.
[0048] For a film roll packaging structure provided with an anti-rust film and an anti-rust end film, after the buffer layer is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film, the film roll packaging method may further include the following steps. For example: obtaining two anti-rust end films; and covering the two ends of the film roll with each anti-rust end film, wherein each anti-rust end film can be detached from the anti-rust film.
[0049] For the film roll packaging structure provided with buffer end caps, after the buffer layer is wound around the outer peripheral surface of the film, the film roll packaging method may further include the following steps: for example, obtaining two buffer end caps; and covering the two ends of the film roll with each buffer end cap.
[0050] In order to enable those with ordinary knowledge in the technical field to implement the present disclosure, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be further described in detail below to specifically illustrate the film roll packaging structure and film roll packaging method of the present disclosure. It should be noted that the following embodiments are only illustrative and should not be construed as limiting the present disclosure. That is, the materials and processing procedures used in each embodiment can be appropriately changed without exceeding the scope of the present disclosure.
[0051] Example 1
[0052] Example 1 is about a film roll packaging method to obtain a corresponding film roll packaging structure. First, a copper foil with a width of 20cm and a thickness of 4μm is rolled up as a film with a core, and the film is continuously wound until the outer diameter of the film roll reaches 15cm. Afterwards, a foamed polyethylene (EVE) with a thickness of 2mm is taken as a buffer layer, and the buffer layer and the anti-rust film are stacked. Afterwards, the inner side of the end of the film covers one end of the buffer layer and the anti-rust film, so that an overlapping area is generated between the end of the film and the buffer layer, and the overlapping length of the overlapping area in the mechanical direction is about 3cm. Afterwards, one end of the tape is attached to the end of the film, and the end of the tape will be within the range of the aforementioned overlapping area. Then, the other end of the tape is attached to the buffer layer so that the buffer layer and the end of the film are fixed to each other. Then, the buffer layer and the anti-rust film are wound so that they are wound on the outer peripheral surface of the film roll. Subsequently, the anti-rust end film and the buffer end cover can be stacked in sequence at both ends of the film roll. Finally, a protective film is used for wrapping. Among them, other specific conditions and parameters about Example 1 are recorded in Table 1.
[0053] Embodiments 2 to 7
[0054] Examples 2 to 7 are about film roll packaging methods to obtain corresponding film roll packaging structures. The films of Examples 2 to 7 are copper foils, and the processing flow is similar to the processing flow of Example 1. Different processing conditions and parameters are recorded in Table 1.
[0055] Comparative Examples 1 to 6
[0056] Comparative Examples 1 to 6 are about film roll packaging methods to obtain corresponding film roll packaging structures. The films of Comparative Examples 1 to 6 are copper foils, and the processing flow is similar to the processing flow of Example 1. Different processing conditions and parameters are recorded in Table 1.
[0057] The following further describes the detection methods and results of the above-mentioned Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6. For example, the detection of "waste length" is performed, and the detection results are recorded in Table 1.
[0058] 〈Waste Length〉
[0059] Since the external force applied during the application of the adhesive tape may be transmitted to a certain depth of the surface of the film roll, after completing the packaging methods of the above-mentioned Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Examples 1 to 6, the packaging structure can be removed, and the film roll can be unfolded along the machine direction to observe whether there are pits on the surface of the film caused by the application of the adhesive tape. The total length between the end edge of the film and the pit farthest from the end edge of the film (or the final pit) is calculated, and this length is the waste length of the film.

[0063] According to Table 1, for Examples 1 to 6, when the thickness of the buffer layer is at least 1 mm and the overlap length between the film end and the buffer layer is at least 1 cm, the corresponding scrap length is less than 0.5 m. In contrast, for Comparative Examples 2 to 6, when the buffer layer is not provided or the buffer layer is not covered by the film end, the corresponding scrap length is still at least 5 m. In addition, for Comparative Example 1, even if the buffer layer is covered by the film end, when the thickness of the buffer layer is less than 1 mm (e.g., 0.2 mm), the corresponding scrap length is still at least 10 m.
[0064] Thus, by sandwiching the beginning of the buffer layer between the end of the film and the inner film roll, the external force applied to the end of the film can be buffered or absorbed by the beginning of the buffer layer, and will not be further transmitted to the film roll below the beginning. Therefore, for films that are easily plastically deformed by external forces, or films whose surface structures are easily damaged by external forces, the beginning of the buffer layer can be sandwiched between the end of the film and the inner film roll, thereby effectively preventing the film from being damaged.
[0065] The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention. All equivalent changes and modifications made within the scope of the claims of the present invention should fall within the scope of the present invention.
