Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to a heat insulating material in building materials, and more particularly to a heat insulating material with excellent fire resistance and a method for manufacturing the same. Background Art
[0002] Thermal insulation materials are attached to the outer walls of buildings to maintain the temperature of the buildings. Generally, polyurethane foam and polystyrene foam are widely used thermal insulation materials, but these thermal insulation materials have the disadvantage of generating a large amount of flammable and toxic gases in case of fire. As these disadvantages continue to cause harm to human life and property, there is an increasing demand for materials with excellent fire resistance for public safety.
[0003] According to the level of fire resistance they exhibit, fire-resistant materials are classified into non-combustible materials, semi-non-combustible materials, and flame-retardant materials. Non-combustible materials are materials that do not burn, and examples thereof include concrete, stone, brick, tile, steel, aluminum, etc. Semi-non-combustible materials are materials that have properties similar to non-combustible materials, and examples thereof include wood particleboard, pulp cement board, gypsum board, etc. Flame-retardant materials are materials that are not easily burned, and examples thereof include flame-retardant plywood, flame-retardant plastics, etc.
[0004] Generally, in order to enhance the non-combustible properties of building insulation materials, a sheathing material including an aluminum laminate (a board formed by laminating an aluminum film and glass fiber or laminating an aluminum film and kraft paper) is applied to the outermost part of the insulation material. However, the method of manufacturing a sheathing material including an aluminum laminate has the following problems. First, due to a small thickness of 0.1 to 0.4 mm, the aluminum laminate may wrinkle, and due to low adhesion to the core material, the aluminum laminate may easily delaminate from the core material. Second, since the aluminum film forming the aluminum laminate has a thickness of 0.007 to 0.025 mm and is very thin, the film is easy to wrinkle and tear, and is therefore very difficult to handle. Third, in the manufacture of the insulation material, since a multi-step process is required for producing the aluminum laminate, and separate equipment is required, the manufacturing cost of the insulation material increases.
[0005] Therefore, it is necessary to develop a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material technology that can solve the problems of aluminum laminates and have the above-mentioned semi-non-combustible properties. Summary of the invention

[0027] Since the present invention may have various modifications and various embodiments, specific embodiments will be shown in the drawings and described in detail in the detailed description. However, it is not intended to limit the present invention to specific embodiments, and it should be understood that all modifications, equivalents and substitutes are included in the spirit and scope of the present invention. When describing the present invention, when it is determined that the detailed description of the relevant known technology may obscure the gist of the present invention, the detailed description will be omitted.
[0028] The terms used in this application are only used to describe specific embodiments and are not intended to limit the present invention. A singular expression includes a plural expression unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
[0029] In the present application, it should be understood that terms such as "includes", "comprising", "containing" or "having" are intended to specify the existence of the described features, numbers, steps, operations, components, parts or a combination thereof, but do not exclude the possibility of the existence or addition of one or more other features, numbers, steps, operations, components, parts or a combination thereof.
[0030] Figure 1 1 is a perspective view of a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material 100 including a sheath layer according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1 The semi-incombustible building thermal insulation material 100 including a sheath layer of the present invention includes: a core layer 10; a sheath layer 20 formed on one side of the core layer; and a non-combustible coating layer 30, which is provided on the side of the sheath layer opposite to the side in contact with the core layer. Figure 1 In the illustrated embodiment, the sheath layer is formed on one side of the core layer, but the present invention is not limited to this aspect, and the sheath layer may be formed on both sides of the core layer. Figure 1 In the illustrated embodiment, the non-combustible coating is formed on the side of the jacket layer that is not in contact with the core layer, but the present invention is not limited in this regard, and the non-combustible coating may also be formed between the core layer and the jacket layer.
[0031] In a specific embodiment, Figure 1 The semi-incombustible building insulation material shown can be manufactured by using kraft paper as the sheath layer 20 and forming polyurethane foam on one side of the kraft paper to form the core layer 10. On one side of the sheath layer 20 where the core layer 10 is not formed, a non-combustible composition is applied to form a non-combustible coating layer 30.
[0032] Figure 3 2 is a perspective view of a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material 200 according to another embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 The semi-incombustible building thermal insulation material 200 of the present invention may include a core layer 10 and an incombustible coating layer 30 formed on one side of the core layer. In this case, the core layer may be polyurethane foam, and the above-mentioned building thermal insulation material of the embodiment may be manufactured by applying the incombustible composition of the present invention to the polyurethane foam to form the incombustible coating layer 30.
[0033] The present invention is characterized in that a non-combustible coating is formed to replace the aluminum laminate, thereby imparting non-combustible properties to the thermal insulation material. Therefore, due to the non-combustible coating, the thermal insulation of the present invention has non-combustible properties comparable to those of a thermal insulation material including an aluminum laminate. In addition, since the non-combustible coating of the present invention is formed by applying a non-combustible composition to a core layer or a sheath layer, the method for forming the non-combustible coating is simple, and there is also an advantage of forming the non-combustible coating in a continuous process after manufacturing the core layer or the sheath layer. Therefore, the method for manufacturing a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material of the present invention does not require additional equipment for manufacturing an aluminum laminate, so it also has an economic advantage of reducing manufacturing costs.
[0034] The non-combustible coating composition used to form the non-combustible coating of the present invention includes aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, sodium silicate and calcium carbonate. When the non-combustible coating composition is mixed with water to form a paste, and the paste is applied to a core material or a sheath material and dried, a non-combustible coating is formed. Since the non-combustible coating of the present invention has non-combustible properties comparable to those of an aluminum laminate, is formed of an inorganic material, and does not contain an organic binder, VOC is not generated during the drying process or in the event of a fire.
[0035] In a specific example, the non-combustible coating composition for forming the non-combustible coating comprises 11 to 23 parts by weight of aluminum oxide, 15 to 21 parts by weight of silicon oxide, 19 to 32 parts by weight of sodium silicate, 15 to 21 parts by weight of calcium carbonate and 15 to 28 parts by weight of water. When the above numerical range is met, the best adhesion and non-combustible performance of the non-combustible coating can be exhibited.
[0036] In a specific example, the thickness of the non-combustible coating layer formed on one side of the core layer or the sheath layer may be 0.1 to 3.0 mm, preferably 0.15 to 2.5 mm, and more preferably 0.1 to 2 mm. When the thickness of the non-combustible coating layer is less than 0.1 mm, this is not preferred because it is difficult to obtain the desired non-combustible properties; on the other hand, when the thickness exceeds 3 mm, it is not preferred in terms of price competitiveness.
[0037] In addition, the basis weight of the non-combustible coating of the present invention is preferably 200 g / m 2 Up to 1000g / m 2 , more preferably 250g / m 2 Up to 900g / m 2 , most preferably 300g / m 2 Up to 800g / m 2 When the basis weight of the non-combustible coating satisfies the above range, the non-combustible performance and price competitiveness can be optimized.
[0038] Furthermore, when the coating is formed on both sides of the core layer or the sheath material, the thickness of the coating on both sides may be different, and the contents of aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, sodium silicate, and calcium carbonate of the coating on both sides may be different.
[0039] In the present invention, the core layer serves to maintain the shape of the insulation material and minimize heat transfer by preventing the movement of gas molecules. In a specific example, the core layer of the semi-incombustible building insulation material of the present invention may include one or more selected from the group consisting of polyurethane foam, polyisocyanurate foam, phenolic foam, expanded styrene foam, extruded styrene foam, melamine foam, polyethylene foam, polypropylene foam, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer foam, polyimide foam, polyvinyl chloride foam and silicone foam, and may have a heat resistance of 15 to 60 kg / m 3 density and thickness from 20 to 200mm.
[0040] In one specific example, the core layer of the present invention can be formed by foaming a polyurethane solution onto the jacket layer material.
[0041] In addition, the density of the core layer can be 20 to 50 kg / m 3 , 30 to 40 kg / m 3 or 20 to 30 kg / m 3 , or it can be 40 to 50 kg / m 3 The thickness of the core layer may be 20 to 160 mm, 20 to 120 mm, 20 to 80 mm, or 20 to 50 mm, or may be 40 to 150 mm or 80 to 120 mm. However, the density and thickness of the core layer are not limited to the above numerical ranges, and may be determined within various ranges including the above numerical ranges.
[0042] In the present invention, the sheath layer includes one selected from the group consisting of polyolefin nonwoven fabric, kraft paper, glass fiber mesh, glass fiber fabric and glass fiber mat.
[0043] Kraft paper preferably has a 40 g / m 2 Up to 120g / m 2 The basis weight is preferably 50 g / m 2 Up to 110g / m 2 The basis weight is preferably 60 g / m 2 Up to 100g / m 2 The basis weight.
[0044] The glass fiber structure preferably has a thickness of 25 g / m 2 Up to 120g / m 2 The basis weight is preferably 30 g / m 2 Up to 100g / m 2 The basis weight is preferably 30 g / m2 Up to 80g / m 2 The basis weight.
[0045] Hereinafter, a method for manufacturing a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material of the present invention will be described in detail. Figure 5 1 is a flow chart showing a method for producing a semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 5 The method for manufacturing a semi-incombustible building insulation material of the present invention comprises: (a) preparing a non-combustible composition by mixing aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, sodium silicate, calcium carbonate and water; (b) forming a core layer or a structure in which the core layer is formed on a covering layer; and (c) applying the non-combustible composition to one side or both sides of the core layer or the structure.
[0046] The application of the non-combustible composition in step (c) is carried out by a method selected from the group consisting of a roller coating method, a knife coating method, a reverse roller coating method and a spray coating method, and since the semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material of the present invention can be manufactured by applying the non-combustible composition to a core layer or a structure in which a core layer is formed on a sheathing layer in a continuous process, no additional process is required to produce an aluminum laminate to impart semi-non-combustible properties, and there is no room for problems in handling aluminum films or aluminum laminates.
[0047] The structure in which the core layer is formed on the sheath layer refers to the above structure formed by forming polyurethane foam on the sheath material, and since the core layer and the sheath layer are the same as above, further detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0096] The evaluation results of the heat release rates (KS F ISO 5660-1) of the thermal insulation materials produced in Examples 1 to 9 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10 are shown in Table 1 below.
[0097] [Table 1]
[0098]
[0099] Referring to Table 1 above, it can be seen that in the case of Examples 1 to 9, although aluminum is not used in the manufacture of the semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material, the total amount of released heat is not significantly different from the semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material of Comparative Examples 1 to 4 manufactured using aluminum, and the heat release rate test (KS F ISO5660-1) standard for the semi-non-combustible building thermal insulation material is satisfied.
[0100] Specifically, in the case of Examples 1 to 4, although a sheath layer such as kraft paper was not included, the total amount of released heat was reduced by up to 60% compared to Comparative Examples 1 and 2 including aluminum and a sheath layer.
[0101] Specifically, Examples 2 and 3 differ from Examples 7 and 8 only in that kraft paper is not included, but the total amount of heat released is only 45% and 20%, respectively.
[0102] When comparing Examples 1 to 3 with Comparative Example 6, it can be seen that in the thermal insulation material to which the non-combustible composition is applied, the total amount of heat released is reduced to a level of 6.4% to 38%, and no physical change of the thermal insulation material occurs. In addition, when the thickness of the non-combustible coating increases, the amount of heat released decreases.
[0103] When Example 3 is compared with Comparative Example 8, it can be seen that in the case of Comparative Example 8 in which PVAc is used in place of water in the non-flammable composition, the total amount of heat released is significantly increased.
[0104] When Example 3 is compared with Comparative Example 9, it can be seen that in the case of Comparative Example 9 where the sodium silicate content in the non-combustible composition is changed to 10 parts by weight, the total amount of heat released increases by at least 10 times.
[0105] When Example 3 is compared with Comparative Example 10, it can be seen that in the case of Comparative Example 10, which shows a significant difference from the non-combustible composition of the present invention in terms of constituent components and their contents, the total amount of heat released increases by at least 10 times.
[0106] When the above results are summarized, it can be confirmed that when the constituent components of the non-combustible coating layer and the contents thereof satisfy the composition of the present invention, the semi-non-combustible building thermal insulating material can exhibit the best thermal insulation performance.
