[0042] [First embodiment]
[0043] like Figure 1 As shown, the electromagnetic contactor 1 of the first embodiment of the present invention uses a first frame 2A and a second frame 2B formed of a synthetic resin with electrical insulation to form a housing. The first frame 2A is a square cylindrical body with a bottom, and a mounting plate portion 3 is formed at the four corners of the rear end. The second frame 2B is a square cylindrical body with an open rear end, and an arc extinguishing cover 4 covering the contact mechanism 10 described later is detachably mounted at the front end. Figure 2 As shown, power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and coil terminal portion 8 are formed on the upper side of the second frame 2B. Load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d are formed on the lower side of the second frame 2B. Although not shown, the electromagnetic contactor 1 is arranged in the switchboard by fixing the fixing screws penetrating the mounting plate portion 3 to the switchboard mounted on the wall.
[0044] Figure 31 is a diagram showing the internal structure of the electromagnetic contactor 1, which includes a contact mechanism 10 built into the second frame 2B, and an electromagnet device, i.e., an electromagnet unit 12, built into the first frame 2A and driving the contact mechanism 10 to turn on and off. The electromagnet unit 12 includes a fixed iron core 13 arranged on the bottom side of the first frame 2A, a movable iron core 14 arranged with a contact surface 14a facing the contact surface 13a of the fixed iron core 13, an electromagnetic coil 15 arranged to be inserted through the central protrusion 13b of the fixed iron core 13, and a return spring 16 arranged between the front side of the electromagnetic coil 15 and the movable iron core 14. The electromagnetic coil 15 has a winding frame 21 and a winding 22 wound on the cylindrical portion of the winding frame 21.
[0045] The contact mechanism 10 includes a plurality of power-side fixed contacts 18a and load-side fixed contacts 18b fixed to the second frame 2B and arranged in a left-right direction, a contact support 19 movably mounted inside the second frame 2B in a front-to-back direction, and a plurality of movable contacts 20 supported by the contact support 19 and movable in the front-to-back direction in a manner such that the movable contacts 20a, 20b can contact and separate from the fixed contacts 18a1 of the plurality of power-side fixed contacts 18a and the fixed contacts 18b1 of the plurality of load-side fixed contacts 18b.
[0046] like Figure 1 As shown, the arc extinguishing hood 4 mounted on the second frame 2B is formed with a quadrangular opening 9. Inside the opening 9, an operation display portion 23 as an operation display portion and a pair of frame protrusions 24a, 24b are arranged.
[0047] like Figure 4 As shown, the action display unit 23 is integrally formed on the upper part of the contact support member 19, and appears and disappears toward the opening portion 9 by the front-to-back movement of the contact support member 19 during the opening and closing action of the electromagnetic contactor 1, and functions as the action display unit of the electromagnetic contactor 1. In addition, the action display unit 23 moves to a position that does not protrude to the outside of the opening portion 9 (toward the front side of the arc extinguishing cover 4) during the opening action of the electromagnetic contactor 1. Figure 4 As shown in FIG. 1 , a pair of frame protrusions 24a and 24b are separated from the action display unit 23 in the left-right direction and are formed integrally with the second frame 2B. The front end of one frame protrusion 24a is bent to the right to form a first engaging recess 24a1. The front end of the other frame protrusion 24b is also bent to the left to form a first engaging recess 24b1. Figure 4 As shown, second engaging recessed portions 4a1 and 4b1 are formed on the inner walls 4a and 4b on the right and left sides where the opening 9 is formed.
[0048] then, Figure 1 Reference numeral 25 denotes a first protective cover covering the opening 9 of the electromagnetic contactor 1. Figure 1Reference numeral 30 denotes a second protective cover covering the power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d from the front side.
[0049] The first protective cover 25 is formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Figure 5 As shown in (a) and (b), it has a quadrilateral flat plate, namely a cover body 26, which is substantially the same as the opening portion 9 formed in the arc-extinguishing cover 4, a pair of legs 27a, 27b extending parallel to each other from two opposite sides of the cover body 26, outward claws 27a1, 27b1 formed in the outward direction (directions not opposite to each other) of the front ends of the pair of legs 27a, 27b, and a pair of first connecting holes 28a, 28b formed in the cover body 26.
[0050] In addition, the second protective cover 30 is also a rectangular plate formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Figure 1 As shown, a pair of second connection holes 31a, 31b having the same diameter as the first connection holes 28a, 28b of the first protective cover 25 is formed in the center in the longitudinal direction, and four test insertion holes 32a to 32d are formed on one side in the longitudinal direction.
[0051] In addition, the shell of the present invention corresponds to the second frame 2B and the arc extinguishing cover, the shell snap-fitting portion of the present invention corresponds to the second snap-fitting recesses 4a1, 4b1 of the inner walls 4a, 4b, the first connecting hole of the present invention corresponds to the first connecting holes 28a, 28b, the second connecting hole of the present invention corresponds to the second connecting holes 31a, 31b, and the cover connecting portion of the present invention corresponds to the first connecting holes 28a, 28b, the second connecting holes 31a, 31b and the push-in rivet 33.
[0052] The pair of legs 27a, 27b of the first protective cover 25 are inserted into the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4. The pair of legs 27a, 27b slide along the inner walls 4a, 4b of the arc extinguishing cover 4 through the outward claws 27a1, 27b1, and elastically deform inward in the left and right directions, and elastically return to their original positions when the outward claws 27a1, 27b1 fit into the second engaging recesses 4a1, 4b1 of the inner walls 4a, 4b (see Figure 6 ). Thus, the first protective cover 25 is mounted on the arc-extinguishing cover 4 in a state where the cover body 26 closes the opening 9 .
[0053] Next, the second protective cover 30 is placed on the first protective cover 25 with the second connecting holes 31a, 31b corresponding to the first connecting holes 28a, 28b of the cover body 26. At this time, the test insertion holes 32a to 32d of the second protective cover 30 face the power supply terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d from the front.
[0054] Moreover, by Figure 1The push rivets 33 shown in FIG. 2 are pushed into the second connection holes 31 a and 31 b and the first connection holes 28 a and 28 b to attach the second protection cover 30 to the electromagnetic contactor 1 via the first protection cover 25 .
[0055] According to the present embodiment, the second protective cover 30 covers the entire power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, and thus can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function of reliably preventing the user from being electrocuted relative to the power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0056] Furthermore, by removing the second protective cover 30 from the first protective cover 25 , only the first protective cover 25 closes the opening 9 of the arc-extinguishing cover 4 , so that only the operation display unit protection function can be provided.
[0057] In addition, by inserting the outward claws 27a1, 27b1 of the first protective cover 25 into the second engaging recesses 4a1, 4b1 of the inner walls 4a, 4b of the arc extinguishing cover 4, the first protective cover 25 can be easily assembled to the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4, and by pushing the push-in rivets 33 into the second connecting holes 31a, 31b of the first protective cover 25 and the first connecting holes 28a, 28b of the second protective cover 30, the second protective cover 30 can be easily assembled to the first protective cover 25. Moreover, by assembling as described above, even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the arc extinguishing cover 4 can firmly hold the first protective cover 25, and the first protective cover 25 can firmly hold the second protective cover 30.
[0058] Furthermore, when measuring the voltage of the power-side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, the voltage can be measured by inserting a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power-side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d while the second protective cover 30 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, inspection operations of the sequential control circuit can be easily performed.
[0059] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 25 and the second protective cover 30 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
[0060] [Second embodiment]
[0061] then, Figure 8 to Figure 10 2 shows the first protective cover 40 and the second protective cover 45 mounted on the electromagnetic contactor 1 of the second embodiment. Figure 1 to Figure 7 The same reference numerals are given to the same components as those of the first embodiment, and the description thereof is omitted.
[0062] The first protective cover 40 is formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Figure 8 As shown in (a) and (b), it has a cover body 41, a quadrilateral flat plate that is substantially the same as the opening portion 9 formed in the arc-extinguishing cover 4 of the electromagnetic contactor 1, a pair of legs 42a, 42b extending parallel to each other from two opposite sides of the cover body 41, inward claws 42a1, 42b1 formed inwardly (in opposite directions) at the front ends of the pair of legs 42a, 42b, a pair of protrusions 43a, 43b protruding parallel to each other from the cover body 41 on the opposite side of the pair of legs 42a, 42b, and a pair of first connecting holes 44a, 44b formed in the cover body 41.
[0063] The second protective cover 45 is a rectangular plate formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties. Fig. 9 As shown in the figure, similar to the first embodiment, a pair of second communication holes for a pair of push-in rivets 33 to pass through are formed in the central part in the long side direction, and a pair of slits 46a, 46b are formed at the position sandwiched between these second communication holes. In addition, four electrical test insertion holes 32a to 32d are formed on the upper side of the second protective cover 45.
[0064] Next, refer to Fig.10 The procedure of assembling the first protection cover 40 and the second protection cover 45 to the electromagnetic contactor 1 will be described.
[0065] The pair of legs 42a and 42b of the first protective cover 40 are inserted into the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4. The pair of legs 42a and 42b slide toward the pair of frame protrusions 24a and 24b through the inward claws 42a1 and 42b1, and elastically deform outward in the left and right directions. When the inward claws 42a1 and 42b1 are embedded in the first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1, the pair of legs 42a and 42b are elastically reset. Thus, the first protective cover 40 is assembled to the arc extinguishing cover 4 in a state where the cover body 41 closes the opening 9.
[0066] Next, in a state where a pair of protrusions 43a, 43b are inserted into a pair of slits 46a, 46b, the second connecting hole (not shown) is made to correspond to the first connecting holes 44a, 44b of the cover body 41, and the second protective cover 45 is arranged on the first protective cover 40. At this time, the test insertion holes 32a to 32d of the second protective cover 45 are opposite to the power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d from the front side. And, by pushing the push-in rivet 33 into the second connecting hole and the first connecting hole 44a, 44b, the second protective cover 45 is assembled to the electromagnetic contactor 1 via the first protective cover 40.
[0067] Here, if Fig.10 As shown, when the front end sides of a pair of protrusions 43a, 43b are deformed inward in the left-right direction (in the direction of arrows B1, B2) approaching each other, the cover body 41 is deformed, whereby a pair of legs 42a, 42b move outward in the left-right direction, releasing the inward claws 42a1, 42b1 from being embedded in the first engaging recesses 24a1, 24b1, thereby enabling the first protective cover 40 to be removed from the arc extinguishing cover 4.
[0068] In addition, the shell snap-fitting portion of the present invention corresponds to the first snap-fitting recessed portions 24a1, 24b1 of a pair of frame protrusions 24a, 24b, the cover connecting portion of the present invention corresponds to the first connecting holes 44a, 44b, and the second connecting holes and push-in rivets 33 formed in the second protective cover 45, and the snap-fitting release portion of the present invention corresponds to a pair of protrusions 43a, 43b.
[0069] According to this embodiment, the second protective cover 45 covers the entire power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, so it can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function that can reliably prevent the user from being electric shocked relative to the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0070] Furthermore, by removing the second protective cover 45 from the first protective cover 40 , only the first protective cover 40 closes the opening 9 of the arc-extinguishing cover 4 , thereby providing only the operation display unit protection function.
[0071] In addition, by inserting the inward claws 42a1, 42b1 of the first protective cover 40 into the second engaging recesses 4a1, 4b1, the first protective cover 40 can be easily assembled to the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4, and by pushing the push-in rivets 33 into the second connecting holes 44a, 44b of the first protective cover 40 and the connecting hole of the second protective cover 45, the second protective cover 45 can be easily assembled to the first protective cover 40. Moreover, by assembling as described above, even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the arc extinguishing cover 4 can firmly hold the first protective cover 40, and the first protective cover 40 can firmly hold the second protective cover 45.
[0072] Furthermore, when the protrusions 43a and 43b of the first protective cover 40 are deformed inward in the left-right direction, the inward claws 42a1 and 42b1 are released from the first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1, so that the first protective cover 40 can be easily removed from the arc-extinguishing cover 4.
[0073] In addition, when measuring the voltage of the power-side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, the voltage can be measured by inserting a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power-side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d while the second protective cover 45 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, inspection operations such as the sequential control circuit can be easily performed.
[0074] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 40 and the second protective cover 45 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
[0075] [Third Embodiment]
[0076] then, Figure 11 to Figure 13 The first protection cover 50 and the second protection cover 55 which are mounted on the electromagnetic contactor 1 according to the third embodiment are shown.
[0077] The first protective cover 50 is formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Fig.11 As shown in (a) to (c), it has a cover body 51, a quadrilateral flat plate that is substantially the same as the opening portion 9 formed in the arc-extinguishing cover 4 of the electromagnetic contactor 1, a pair of legs 52a, 52b extending parallel to each other from two opposite sides of the cover body 51, inward claws 52a1, 52b1 formed inwardly at the front ends of the pair of legs 52a, 52b, and four protrusions 53 protruding parallel to each other from the four corners of the cover body 51 on the opposite side of the pair of legs 52a, 52b.
[0078] The second protective cover 55 is a rectangular plate formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties. Fig.12As shown, four connection holes 56 are formed at the center in the longitudinal direction for passing the four protrusions 53 of the first protective cover 40. In addition, four test insertion holes 32a to 32d are formed on the upper side of the second protective cover 55.
[0079] The first protective cover 50 is assembled to the arc extinguishing cover 4 by inserting a pair of legs 52a and 52b into the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4 and engaging the inward claws 52a1 and 52b1 with the first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1, while the cover body 51 closes the opening 9.
[0080] In addition, in a state where the four protrusions 53 of the first protective cover 50 are inserted into the four connecting holes 56, the second protective cover 55 is arranged on the first protective cover 50, and the heads of the four protrusions 53 protruding from the connecting holes 56 are riveted, thereby forming the riveted portions 53a. By forming the riveted portions 53a, the second protective cover 55 is fixed to the first protective cover 50. At this time, the test insertion holes 32a to 32d of the second protective cover 55 are opposite to the power supply side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d from the front side.
[0081] In addition, the cover connecting portion of the present invention corresponds to the protrusion 53 of the first protective cover 50, the connecting hole 56 of the second protective cover 55, and the rivet portion 53a.
[0082] According to this embodiment, the second protective cover 55 covers the entire power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, so it can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function that can reliably prevent the user from being electric shocked relative to the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0083] In addition, when the heads of the four protrusions 53 of the first protective cover 50 are not riveted and the second protective cover 55 is not arranged on the first protective cover 50, only the first protective cover 50 closes the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4, so that only the action display part protection function can be provided.
[0084] In addition, by inserting the inward claws 52a1, 52b1 of the first protective cover 50 into the first engaging recesses 24a1, 24b1, the first protective cover 50 can be easily assembled to the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4, and even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the arc extinguishing cover 4 can firmly hold the first protective cover 50. In addition, by inserting the four protrusions 53 of the first protective cover 50 into the connecting holes 56 at four locations and riveting the heads of the protrusions 53 protruding from the connecting holes 56 to form the riveted portions 53a, the first protective cover 50 can firmly hold the second protective cover 55 even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted.
[0085] In addition, when measuring the voltage of the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, it is possible to insert a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d to measure the voltage while the second protective cover 55 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, it is possible to easily perform inspection operations on the sequential control circuit.
[0086] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 50 and the second protective cover 55 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
[0087] [Fourth Embodiment]
[0088] then, Figure 14 to Figure 16 The first protection cover 60 and the second protection cover 65 which are attached to the electromagnetic contactor 1 of the fourth embodiment are closed.
[0089] The first protective cover 60 is formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Fig.14 As shown in (a) to (c), it has a cover body 61, a quadrilateral flat plate that is substantially the same as the opening portion 9 formed in the arc-extinguishing cover 4 of the electromagnetic contactor 1, a pair of legs 62a, 62b extending parallel to each other from two opposite sides of the cover body 61, inward claws 62a1, 62b1 formed inwardly at the front ends of the pair of legs 62a, 62b, and a pair of engaging protrusions 68a, 68b protruding from the cover body 61 on the opposite side of the pair of legs 62a, 62b and constituting a pair of snap mechanisms 67a, 67b.
[0090] The second protective cover 65 is a rectangular plate formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties. Fig.15 As shown, a pair of fitting holes 66a, 66b constituting the above-mentioned locking mechanisms 67a, 67b are formed in the center portion in the longitudinal direction, and four tester insertion holes 32a to 32d are formed on the upper side.
[0091] The first protective cover 60 is formed by inserting a pair of leg portions 62a, 62b into the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4 and aligning the inward claw portions 62a1, 62b1 with the third embodiment. Fig.13 The first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1 shown in the figure are engaged, and the cover body 61 is assembled to the arc-extinguishing cover 4 in a state where the opening 9 is closed.
[0092] Moreover, if Fig.16 As shown, the second protective cover 65 is fixed to the first protective cover 60 by a snap-fit connection by inserting the interlocking protrusions 68a, 68b of the first protective cover 60 into the interlocking holes 66a, 66b of the second protective cover 65 and engaging the claws 68a1, 68b1 of the interlocking protrusions 68a, 68b with the periphery of the interlocking holes 66a, 66b.
[0093] Furthermore, the cover connecting portion of the present invention is a snap mechanism 67a, 67b composed of the fitting protrusions 68a, 68b and the fitting holes 66a, 66b.
[0094] In the present embodiment, the second protective cover 65 also covers the entire power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, and therefore, can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function of reliably preventing the user from being electric shocked relative to the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0095] In addition, without snapping the interlocking protrusions 68a, 68b of the first protective cover 60 and the interlocking holes 66a, 66b of the second protective cover 65 together, and without fixing the second protective cover 65 to the first protective cover 60, only the first protective cover 60 can close the opening 9 of the arc-extinguishing cover 4, so that only the action display part protection function can be provided.
[0096] In addition, by embedding the inward claws 62a1, 62b1 of the first protective cover 60 into the first engaging recesses 24a1, 24b1, the first protective cover 60 can be easily assembled to the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4, and even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the arc extinguishing cover 4 can firmly hold the first protective cover 60. In addition, the first protective cover 60 and the second protective cover 65 are snap-fitted together by a pair of snap mechanisms 67a, 67b, so that the second protective cover 65 can be easily assembled to the first protective cover 60, and even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the second protective cover 65 can be firmly held on the first protective cover 60, and the second protective cover 65 can be easily removed from the first protective cover 60.
[0097] In addition, when measuring the voltage of the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, the voltage can be measured by inserting a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d while the second protective cover 65 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, it is easy to perform inspection operations on the sequential control circuit.
[0098] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 60 and the second protective cover 65 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
[0099] [Fifth Embodiment]
[0100] then, Figure 17 to Figure 19 The fifth embodiment shows a first protective cover 70 and a second protective cover 75 mounted on an electromagnetic contactor 1. This embodiment is a modification of the first protective cover 60 and the second protective cover 65 of the fourth embodiment, and components having the same configuration as the fourth embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof is omitted.
[0101] like Fig.17 As shown, the first protective cover 70 protrudes from the cover body 61 on the opposite side of the pair of legs 62a and 62b, and a cylindrical boss 71 is protruded between a pair of fitting protrusions 68a and 68b constituting the snap mechanisms 67a and 67b.
[0102] like Fig.18 As shown, the second protective cover 75 has a boss hole 76 formed between the pair of fitting hole portions 66a and 66b constituting the snap mechanisms 67a and 67b in the left-right direction.
[0103] The first protective cover 70 is formed by inserting a pair of leg portions 62a, 62b into the opening portion 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4 and aligning the inward claw portions 62a1, 62b1 with the third embodiment. Fig.13 The first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1 shown in the figure are engaged, and the cover body 61 is assembled to the arc-extinguishing cover 4 in a state where the opening 9 is closed.
[0104] In addition, if Fig.19 As shown, the fitting protrusions 68a and 68b of the first protective cover 70 are inserted into the fitting holes 66a and 66b of the second protective cover 75, and the boss 71 of the first protective cover 70 is inserted into the boss hole 76 of the second protective cover 75. Then, the second protective cover 75 is fixed to the first protective cover 70 by engaging the claws 68a1 and 68b1 of the fitting protrusions 68a and 68b with the peripheral edges of the fitting holes 66a and 66b and fitting the boss 71 into the boss hole 76.
[0105] The cover connection portion of the present invention corresponds to the snap-fit mechanisms 67 a and 67 b formed by the fitting protrusions 68 a and 68 b and the fitting holes 66 a and 66 b , and the boss holes 76 of the second protective cover 75 and the bosses 71 of the first protective cover 70 .
[0106] In the present embodiment, the second protective cover 75 also covers the entire power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, and therefore, can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function of reliably preventing the user from being electric shocked relative to the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0107] In addition, when the second protective cover 75 is not fixed to the first protective cover 70, only the first protective cover 70 closes the opening 9 of the arc-extinguishing cover 4, thereby providing only the operation display unit protection function.
[0108] In addition, the first protective cover 70 and the second protective cover 75 are snap-fitted together by a pair of snap-fit mechanisms 67a, 67b, and the boss 71 of the first protective cover 70 is embedded in the boss hole 76 of the second protective cover 75. Therefore, the second protective cover 75 can be easily assembled to the first protective cover 70, and even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the second protective cover 75 can be firmly held on the first protective cover 70.
[0109] In addition, when measuring the voltage of the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, it is possible to insert a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d to measure the voltage while the second protective cover 75 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, it is possible to easily perform inspection operations on the sequential control circuit.
[0110] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 70 and the second protective cover 75 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
[0111] [Sixth Embodiment]
[0112] then, Figure 20 to Figure 23 The first protection cover 80 and the second protection cover 85 which are mounted on the electromagnetic contactor 1 according to the sixth embodiment are shown.
[0113] The first protective cover 80 is a member formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties, such as Fig. 20As shown in (a) and (b), it has a cover body 81 which is a quadrilateral flat plate substantially the same as the opening 9 formed in the arc extinguishing cover 4 of the electromagnetic contactor 1, a pair of legs 82a, 82b extending parallel to each other from two opposite sides of the cover body 81, inward claws 82a1, 82b1 formed inwardly at the front ends of the pair of legs 82a, 82b, a pair of engaging protrusions 88a, 88b protruding from the cover body 81 on the opposite side of the pair of legs 82a, 82b to form a pair of snap mechanisms 87a, 87b, a cylindrical boss 83 protruding between the pair of engaging protrusions 88a, 88b, and a step protrusion 84 protruding in a stepped manner on one side of the cover body 81 between the two opposite sides of the above-mentioned cover body 81 in the same direction as the engaging protrusions 88a, 88b and the boss 83.
[0114] The second protective cover 85 is a rectangular plate formed of a transparent synthetic resin having electrical insulation properties. Fig.21 As shown, a pair of fitting holes 86a, 86b constituting snap mechanisms 87a, 87b are formed in the central portion in the long-side direction, and a boss hole 89 is formed between the pair of fitting holes 86a, 86b. In addition, four test-electric insertion holes 32a to 32d are formed on one end side in the long-side direction of the second protective cover 85, and an opening 90 for the stepped protrusion 84 of the first protective cover 80 to enter the interior is formed near the pair of fitting holes 86a, 86b and the boss hole 89 on the other end side in the long-side direction.
[0115] The first protective cover 80 is formed by inserting a pair of leg portions 82a and 82b into the opening 9 of the arc extinguishing cover 4 so that the inward claw portions 82a1 and 82b1 are aligned with the third embodiment. Fig.13 The first engaging recesses 24a1 and 24b1 shown in the figure are engaged, and the cover body 81 is assembled to the arc-extinguishing cover 4 in a state where the opening 9 is closed.
[0116] In addition, if Fig. 22 As shown, the engaging protrusions 88a and 88b of the first protective cover 80 are inserted into the engaging holes 86a and 86b of the second protective cover 85, and the boss 83 of the first protective cover 80 is inserted into the boss hole 89 of the second protective cover 85. At this time, the stepped protrusion 84 of the first protective cover 80 is inserted into the opening 90 of the second protective cover 85 from the back side of the second protective cover 85 (the side that abuts against the first protective cover 80). As a result, the second protective cover 85 is fixed to the first protective cover 80 by engaging the claws 88a1 and 88b1 of the engaging protrusions 88a and 88b with the periphery of the engaging holes 86a and 86b, and the boss 83 is embedded in the boss hole 89. Here, as shown in FIG. Fig.23 As shown, the end of the stepped protrusion 84 of the first protective cover 80 inserted into the opening engagement portion 91 of the second protective cover 85 abuts against the peripheral edge of the opening engagement portion 91 from the front side.
[0117] In the present embodiment, by providing the stepped protrusion 84 , the front-rear movement of the second protective cover 85 caused by the opening and closing shock when the contacts are opened and closed can be suppressed, and the second protective cover 85 is less likely to come off the first protective cover 80 .
[0118] In addition, the pressing portion of the present invention corresponds to the stepped protrusion 84 of the first protective cover 80 and the opening 90 of the second protective cover 85 .
[0119] In the present embodiment, the second protective cover 85 also covers the entire power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d and the opening 9 from the front side, and therefore, can simultaneously have an action display part protection function of preventing dust from intruding into the contact mechanism 10 from the opening 9 or preventing erroneous operation of the action display part 23 of the contact mechanism 10, and a charging part protection function of reliably preventing the user from being electrically shocked relative to the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d and the load side terminals 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d.
[0120] In addition, when the second protective cover 85 is not fixed to the first protective cover 80, only the first protective cover 80 closes the opening 9 of the arc-extinguishing cover 4, thereby providing only the operation display unit protection function.
[0121] In addition, the first protective cover 80 and the second protective cover 85 are snap-fitted together by a pair of snap-fit mechanisms 87a and 87b, the boss 83 of the first protective cover 80 is embedded in the boss hole 89 of the second protective cover 75, and the end of the step protrusion 84 of the first protective cover 80 abuts against the peripheral edge of the opening snap-fit portion 91 of the second protective cover 85 from the front side. Therefore, even if the vibration generated by the opening and closing impact of the electromagnetic contactor 1 is transmitted, the second protective cover 85 can be firmly held on the first protective cover 80.
[0122] In addition, when measuring the voltage of the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d, the voltage can be measured by inserting a tester from the test insertion holes 32a to 32d into the power side terminals 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d while the second protective cover 85 is assembled on the electromagnetic contactor 1. Therefore, it is easy to perform inspection operations on the sequential control circuit.
[0123] Furthermore, by forming the first protective cover 80 and the second protective cover 85 from a transparent synthetic resin, the operation of the operation display section 23 appearing and disappearing in the opening 9 functioning as the operation display section can be easily confirmed visually.
