Abstract

The method includes steps: writing information of neighboring cell, and algorithm parameter for reselecting neighboring cell in CDMA system into terminal in advance; under condition of not finding information and parameter configured by GSM system, using concerned information of neighboring cell of writing to terminal, the terminal determines whether there is cell suitable for terminal to be resided based on algorithm parameter for reselecting neighboring cell, and further executing function for reselecting neighboring cell. The method makes operating GSM network realize function of reselecting cell from GSM system to CDMA system without need of upgrading and configuring information of neighboring cell in CDMA system. Thus, the invention prevents influence on current network from upgrading and configuring data for GSM system; moreover, the invention expands coverage of CDMA network by relying on GSM system.
