Embodiment Construction

[0076] The invention provides a block effect analysis method, which can accurately realize block effect evaluation and make the result more consistent with the subjective feeling of human eyes.

[0077] In order to enable those skilled in the art to better understand the solution of the present invention, the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with specific drawings and embodiments.

[0078] see figure 1 , which is a flow chart of the first embodiment of the blocking effect analysis method of the present invention.

[0079] The block effect analysis method described in the embodiment of the present invention comprises the following steps:

[0080] S10. Input the decoded image.

[0081] S20. Calculate brightness differences at boundaries between pixel blocks.

[0082] The pixel block may be an 8*8 pixel block, and it is distinguished whether it is a horizontally adjacent pixel block or a vertically adjacent pixel block. Then calculate...

Abstract

The invention discloses a blocking effect analysis method. The method comprises the following steps: inputting a decoded image; calculating brightness differences on boundaries among pixel blocks; utilizing a blocking effect visibility function to process the brightness differences on the boundaries among the pixel blocks; utilizing a Weber-Fick inner law to calculate the subjective sensation of a human vision system to visible blocking effects; and integrating the blocking effects on all the boundaries in the image to obtain the blocking effect evaluation analysis results of the whole image. The blocking effect analysis method and the system can accurately realize the blocking effect evaluation so that results can more suit the subjective sensation of the eyes.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of image quality analysis, in particular to a block effect analysis method and system. Background technique [0002] The existing block-based discrete cosine transform (BDCT), due to its advantages of high compression efficiency, low computational complexity, and easy implementation, is currently adopted as the core compression algorithm by most international image and video compression standards, such as JPEG , MPEG, H.261, H.263 and other image standards. [0003] BDCT utilizes the properties of image pixels related in local space, divides the image into 8×8 pixel blocks, uses discrete cosine transform to transform each block from space domain to frequency domain, and quantizes BDCT coefficients. Since these pixel blocks are coded separately, the correlation between adjacent blocks will be ignored, resulting in a discontinuous phenomenon at the boundary of pixel blocks in the decoded image, which is called block ef...
