Abstract

The invention discloses a method for realizing fast route convergence by optical transport network (OTN) overheads, which comprises the following steps: (1) setting PSI[1] as a special zone bit and detecting the state information of a port of a device of a source end; (2) recording the detected state information of the port to a corresponding PSI[X+n-1]; (3) detecting whether the PSI[1] is the special zone bit or not, and if so, executing a step (4); (4) reading an overhead byte PSI[X]-PSO[X+n-1] of the PSI and recording the overhead byte; (5) analyzing the state information of the port, and if the state information is 0, the device of the source end has no fault; if the state information is not 0, then the device has fault information; and (6) triggering and processing a port of a device of a corresponding sink end.
