The system for recommending the sales promotions comprises a server, an analysis module and a sales promotion inquiry module, wherein the server is used for setting up a list where all the sales promotions are listed, each sales promotion comprises a promoted commodity and a commodity classification where the promoted commodity belongs, the analysis module is used for analyzing a key word which is input by a target user so that one or more commodity classifications can be output, the sales promotion inquiry module is used for inquiring out at least one sales promotion of one of the one or more commodity classifications which are output by the analysis module from the list, and the sales promotion inquiry module is used for recommending the inquired sales promotions to the target user. According to the system and method for recommending the sales promotions, the key word which is input by the target user can be analyzed, the commodity classifications where the required commodities, possibly required by the user, belong are obtained, the sales promotions of the commodity classifications are recommended to the user, therefore, commodities which are required by the user can be rapidly bought by the user, shopping time of the user is shortened, and shopping experience of the user is improved.
