Embodiment Construction

[0026] A method for receiving radio resource control (RRC) messages by a user equipment (UE) is described. The method includes: receiving an RRC connection reconfiguration (RRCConnectionReconfiguration) message from a first evolved Node B (eNB), the message including a data radio bearer (DRB) for remapping a data radio bearer (DRB) established on a primary cell group (MCG) to DRB configuration parameters of the secondary cell group (SCG).

[0027] The DRB configuration parameters may include at least one of: packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) configuration, radio link control (RLC) configuration, logical channel configuration, logical channel identification and evolved packet system (EPS) bearer identification.

[0028] In response to receiving the RRC connection reconfiguration message, the method may further include remapping the PDCP established on the MCG to the SCG. The method may further include remapping the PDCP established on the MCG to the SCG after the random ...

Abstract

A method for receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message by a user equipment (UE) is described. The method includes receiving, from a first evolved Node B (eNB), an RRC connection reconfiguration (RRCConnectionReconfiguration) message including data radio bearer (DRB) configuration parameters for remapping a DRB that is established on a master cell group (MCG) to a secondary cell group (SCG).

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates generally to communication systems. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to systems and methods for dual connectivity operation. Background technique [0002] To meet consumer demands and to increase portability and convenience, wireless communication devices have become smaller and more powerful. Consumers have become dependent on wireless communication devices and expect reliable service, expanded coverage areas, and increased functionality. A wireless communication system can provide communication for a plurality of wireless communication devices, each of which can be served by a base station. A base station may be a device that communicates with wireless communication devices. [0003] With the advancement of wireless communication devices, improvements in communication capacity, speed, flexibility and efficiency have been sought. However, there may be some problems with increasing communication capac...
