Abstract

The present invention discloses a saturation enhancement method and apparatus, belonging to the field of display technologies. The method comprises the steps of acquiring layer feature information of at least one layer corresponding to display content; identifying a layer type of each layer according to the layer feature information; for each layer, selecting a saturation enhancement manner corresponding to the layer type, and enhancing the layer by using the saturation enhancement manner; and displaying display content overlaid by the enhanced layers. When each frame of display content in the terminal is enhanced by using the same saturation enhancement manner, the user interface (UI) layer is less attractive. The method solves the above problem. Each frame of layer in the terminal and different type of layers use different saturation enhancement manners, so that each type of layer has better colors, and the display effect of final display content is improved overall.
