Abstract

The invention discloses a fingerprint identification device, which comprises an acquisition module, a first determination module and a second determination module, wherein the acquisition module is used for acquiring environment parameters of a mobile terminal when receiving a fingerprint image to be identified; the first determination module is used for determining a threshold value of the fingerprint image to be identified according to the environment parameters; and the second determination module is used for determining that identification of the fingerprint image to be identified fails if the similarity between the fingerprint image to be identified and a prestored fingerprint template is less than the threshold value, and determining that identification of the fingerprint image to be identified succeeds if the similarity between the fingerprint image to be identified and a prestored fingerprint template is greater than or equal to the threshold value. The invention further discloses a fingerprint identification method. The fingerprint identification device and the fingerprint identification method realize the effects of determining the threshold value of the fingerprint image to be identified according to the environment parameters of the mobile terminal, avoiding the occurrence of fingerprint identification failure because the environment in which the mobile phone locates is unfavorable for fingerprint identification, and improving fingerprint identification efficiency of the mobile terminal.
