Abstract

The invention discloses a control method and device of television programs. The control method comprises the steps of:dividing the television programs into children programs and non-children programs; carrying out statistics on time of accumulatively watching the children programs in preset time; and when the time of accumulatively watching the children programs exceeds a preset first time threshold, hiding all channels currently playing the children programs, and switching a current television channel into a random channel currently playing the non-children program. According to the control method and device disclosed by the invention, the time of accumulatively watching the children programs in the preset time can be subjected to statistics, and if the time of accumulatively watching the children programs exceeds the preset first time threshold, all the channels currently playing the children programs are hidden, so that a child is prevented from continuously watching the television; and meanwhile, the current television channel is switched into one random channel currently playing the non-children program, and thus, an audit can select a favorite program from the non-children programs to watch.
