The domain name query method comprises the following steps: when receiving a first domain name resolution request, acquiring the predicted round-trip delay of each domain name server in M domain name servers; determining the first domain name server in the M domain name servers, wherein the predicted round-trip delay of the first domain name server is the minimum; determining the second domain name server in the M domain name servers, wherein the difference between the predicted round-trip delay of the second domain name server and the predicted round-trip delay of the first domain name server is less than a preset threshold; and sending a domain name query request to the first domain name server or the second domain name server at default probability, wherein the probability that the domain name query request is sent to the first domain name server is the maximum. The embodiments of the invention not only can adapt to dynamic network change, but also can ensure that the network delay of the domain name query request is relatively small.
