The network protocol based data transmission method comprises the steps that the process of building a channel in a network protocol is defined to be a top state machine, and at least one bottom state machine is correspondingly defined according to different message instructions in the network protocol; the top state machine sends an instruction according to a message corresponding to the received message instruction and updates the state thereof into a state of waiting the message instruction to be successfully replied; and the bottom state machine corresponding to the message instruction sends a message instruction according to the updated state of the top state machine. According to the invention, the network protocol can be quickly implemented through the hierarchy-based state machines, and problems of complexity and difficult control brought about by implementation by using traditional state machines are solved.
