Abstract

The invention discloses a method and apparatus for detecting pose abnormity. The method comprises: an initial monitoring image is acquired, an initial reference frame is obtained, and an initial poseof a camera is obtained; a video key frame is obtained periodically and a bridge image database is established incrementally to obtain a bridge image; a detection frame is obtained based on a detection cycle, feature extraction and matching are carried out on the detection frame and the initial reference frame or the bridge image, and a pose of the detection frame is calculated; a difference between a camera pose of the detection frame and an initial pose of the initial reference frame is obtained; whether the difference is larger than a preset threshold value is determined; and if so, pose abnormity is detected and warning is sent out. With the method disclosed by the invention, feature extraction and matching are carried out on the detection frame and the initial reference frame or the bridge image to determine whether the camera pose changes abnormally, so that the risk of the monitoring system caused by abnormal movement is reduced, the detection cost is lowered, and the efficiencyof the monitoring system is enhanced.
