[0010]The present invention relates to a tie clip that is used to secure a tie within a clasp opening and attach the clip to a button of a shirt during use. The tie clip according to the present invention includes a first clasp and a second clasp with a button slot between the first clasp and second clasp. A hinge is provided at one end of the tie clip to open and close the clip to an open position and a closed position. Once in a closed position, tie material in form of a tie tail or possibly the label on the back of the tie is secured within the interior of the clasp. Once secured, the tie clip is attached to a button of a shirt through the button slot provided between the clasps.

Abstract

A tie clip that secures the user's tie to a user's shirt through the use of a button slot. The button slot anchors the tie into a secure position and is preferably attached to the bottom of the tie to secure the tie in a stationary position. The present invention includes an opening clasp, wherein the clasp secures the clip to a portion of the neck tie. Once secured to the neck tie then the clip is then secured through the button slot placement upon a button of a user's shirt. A user may adjust the clip along the length of the tie so that it can be properly secured to an appropriate button.
