Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention generally relates to a device for storing and dispensing at least two cosmetic products, in particular in liquid or pasty form. Background Art
[0002] Some mixtures of cosmetic products are unstable and are therefore active only for a rather limited period of time. This may be the case, for example, when an all-in-one whitening care product is mixed with an intensive whitening product, an antioxidant product and an outer color correction and protection product.
[0003] Some mixtures have a higher viscosity than the viscosity of each of the cosmetic products used to prepare them, the viscosity of the mixture being so high that the mixture cannot flow properly through the dispensing passage.
[0004] For these reasons, mixtures of the above type are not suitable for storage and distribution to users using conventional container devices having only a single reservoir. Therefore, cosmetic devices capable of storing and dispensing multiple types of cosmetic contents simultaneously have been developed, so that mixing is not performed until just before the mixture is applied to the user.
[0005] US5967372A discloses a bottle for metered dispensing of fluid products, comprising a reservoir having two chambers for dispensing two products simultaneously, each chamber being provided with a pump fixedly connected to a collar. The bottle further comprises a push button, which is provided with an outlet opening and contacts with an actuating rod of the pump.
[0006] US11034503B1 discloses a mixing container comprising a first container, a second container, a first discharge device, a second discharge device, a push button and a cap member. The push button is coupled to the cap member so as to move downward when pressed by a user and simultaneously actuate the first and second discharge devices.
[0007] One disadvantage of the known device is that the button or member for simultaneously actuating two or more pumps may be tilted when pressed by the user. As a result, one of the pumps may be pressed down a greater distance than the other of the pumps. Since the device is designed to deliver different cosmetic products in amounts corresponding to a desired ratio when the actuation rods of all pumps are displaced the same distance, the tilting of the button results in a deviation from the desired predetermined ratio of the amounts of the different cosmetic products dispensed.
[0008] Therefore, there is a need for a device that can store at least two cosmetic products and can dispense multiple cosmetic products in appropriate ratios while still being easy to use. Summary of the invention
[0009] The object of the present invention is to provide an improved device for storing and dispensing at least two cosmetic products, wherein the plurality of cosmetic products can be easily dispensed in an appropriate ratio. The at least two cosmetic products can then be mixed to form a mixture.
[0010] The cosmetic product may be a product as defined in EC Regulation No. 1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
[0011] The mixture of at least two cosmetic products may be, for example, a skin care product, a beauty product and / or a hair dye product or the like.

[0047] The following description is merely exemplary in nature and is not intended to limit the present disclosure, application, or uses. In all drawings, corresponding reference numerals indicate similar or corresponding parts and features. It should be understood that although words related to directions such as "top", "bottom", "rear", "lower", "upper", "left", and "right" are used with reference to the drawings or specific embodiments, these words are used for explanation purposes and are not intended to require a specific orientation unless otherwise specified. These directions are provided merely as a reference system with respect to the examples provided, but may be changed in alternative applications.
[0048] Figure 1A is a schematic perspective view of a device 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention, Figure 1B 3 is a schematic exploded view thereof, and FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along line AA.
[0049] like Figure 1A to Figure 2 As shown in , the device 10 includes a body 18, which includes an inner container 21, a bottom cap 22 and an outer container 23. In this embodiment, the inner container 21 and the bottom cap 22 are formed as separate components, which together define a first reservoir 81 and a second reservoir 82 for containing two cosmetic products. The bottom cap 22 can be fixed to the inner container 21 by press fitting, ultrasonic welding, laser welding, etc. to achieve good airtightness. Alternatively, the inner container 21 and the bottom cap 22 can be integrally formed as one piece.
[0050] The device 10 includes a collar 16 mounted on a body 18. Figure 2 and FIG. 3A to FIG. 3B As shown in , the collar 16 includes a circular collar plate 35, a cylindrical upper sidewall 361 and a cylindrical lower sidewall 362 extending from opposite sides of the circular collar plate 35. The diameter of the cylindrical upper sidewall 361 is smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical lower sidewall 362, thereby forming a stepped structure.
[0051] In the illustrated embodiment, the collar 16 includes a plurality of grooves 31 disposed on the inner surface of the cylindrical lower side wall 362 of the collar 16 (see Figure 2 and Figure 3B ). The corresponding protrusion 211 is provided on the outer wall of the inner container 21 (see Figure 2 ) for fitting into the groove 31 and thus securing the collar 16 to the body 18.
[0052] like Figure 2As shown in FIG, a packing 17 is provided between the circular collar plate 35 and the inner container 21 to facilitate the airtightness of the reservoir. The packing 17 is preferably made of an elastic material or a foamed material, in particular NBR, PE, TPE, silicone rubber or EPDM, although other materials are also possible.
[0053] refer to Figure 3A The collar 16 comprises a first receiving portion 32 defining a first aperture 321 for receiving the first pump 14, and a second receiving portion 33 defining a second aperture 331 for receiving the second pump 15. The collar 16 is also provided with a guide sleeve 34, as will be explained in more detail below.
[0054] The first pump 14 extends through the first orifice 321 and is configured to dispense a first cosmetic product from the first reservoir 81 when triggered along the first trigger axis L1. The first sampling tube 191 is connected to the bottom of the first pump 14 for delivering the first cosmetic product contained in the first reservoir 81. The second pump 15 extends through the second orifice 331 and is configured to dispense a second cosmetic product from the second reservoir 82 when triggered along the second trigger axis L2, which is parallel to the first trigger axis L1. The second sampling tube 192 is connected to the bottom of the second pump 15 for delivering the second cosmetic product contained in the second reservoir 82. In an embodiment, the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 extend vertically, and both the first pump 14 and the second pump 15 are triggered in a vertically downward direction.
[0055] The capacity of the pump can be selected based on the desired dosage ratio. For example, for a desired dosage ratio of 50% to 50% of two cosmetic products, two identical pumps can be used. For a desired dosage ratio of 25% to 75%, pumps with different capacities can be selected accordingly.
[0056] In the illustrated embodiment, the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 are parallel to the longitudinal axis L of the body. M ,like Figure 2 In another embodiment, the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 can be relative to the longitudinal axis L of the body. M The inclination presupposes that the first activation axis L1 and the second activation axis L2 are parallel to each other so that both pumps 14 , 15 can be activated in the same direction.
[0057] The nozzle 13 is disposed above the first pump 14 and the second pump 15 and is configured to simultaneously activate both the first pump 14 and the second pump 15. The nozzle 13 is movable relative to the body 18 between a rest position and a discharge position, as further explained below.
[0058] refer to Figure 2 and Figure 4B The nozzle 13 includes a first trigger tube 41 and a second trigger tube 42 extending downward from an upper wall 44 of the nozzle 13 .
[0059] The nozzle 13 is provided with a first outlet 412, and when the first pump 14 is triggered, the first outlet 412 is in fluid communication with the first pump 14 through the first channel 411, so that the first cosmetic product from the first pump 14 can be delivered through the first channel 411 and discharged from the first outlet 412. The nozzle 13 is also provided with a second outlet 422, and when the second pump 15 is triggered, the second outlet 422 is in fluid communication with the second pump 15 through the second channel 421, so that the second cosmetic product from the second pump 15 can be delivered through the second channel 421 and discharged from the second outlet 422.
[0060] The nozzle 13 is biased towards the rest position relative to the body 18 by a biasing means. In the rest position, the first pump 14 and the second pump 15 are at rest and no cosmetic product can be discharged from the device 10. In the illustrated embodiment, the biasing means is formed by a spring arranged in the first pump 14 and the second pump 15. The spring biases the piston of the pump towards the upper closed position and in turn biases the nozzle 13 towards the upper rest position. By way of example only, the biasing force applied by each pump may be in the range of 0.8 kgf to 1.2 kgf and the stroke of the pump may be 6.2 mm.
[0061] like Figure 1B and Figure 2 As shown in , the device 10 also includes an applicator 12, which is configured to move the nozzle 13 from a rest position to a discharge position relative to the body 18 parallel to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 against the action of the biasing means. In the discharge position, the first pump 14 and the second pump 15 are triggered, and the cosmetic product can be discharged from the device 10 through the first outlet 412 and the second outlet 422.
[0062] refer to FIG. 5A to FIG. 5C , the applicator 12 includes a pressing plate 51, a base plate 52, and a rod portion 53 fixed to the base plate 52 at one end and fixed to the pressing plate 51 at the other end. The base plate 52 and the pressing plate 51 are perpendicular to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2, that is, horizontally. The rod portion 53 extends parallel to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 (that is, vertically).
[0063] The pressing plate 51 is configured to be pressed by a user. In this embodiment, the pressing plate 51 is flat. However, the pressing plate 51 may also be curved, for example, with a slightly convex upper surface, as long as it allows the user to comfortably apply a pressing force on the pressing plate 51.
[0064] The base plate 52 of the applicator 12 is supported on the upper surface of the upper wall 44 of the nozzle 13 so that the pressing force applied by the user is transmitted from the pressing plate 51 to the nozzle 13 through the rod portion 53 and the base plate 52. Optionally, the base plate 52 may be fixed to the upper wall 44 of the nozzle 13. In this embodiment, the base plate 52 is flat. However, the base plate 52 may also be curved as long as it allows the pressing force to be reliably transmitted from the base plate 52 to the nozzle 13.
[0065] In the illustrated embodiment, the applicator 12 moves together with the nozzle 13. When no pressure is applied to the applicator 12, the applicator 12 together with the nozzle 13 is biased to a rest position by the biasing means, and thus no cosmetic product is expelled. When the applicator 12 is pressed by the user to move downward, the nozzle 13 is forced to move from the rest position to the expelling position against the biasing force, and thus the cosmetic product is expelled from the device 10.
[0066] The base plate 52 has a circular shape, and the rod portion 53 extends from the central area of the base plate 52. The pressing plate 51 of the applicator 12 also has a circular shape, and the upper end of the rod portion 53 is fixed in the central area of the pressing plate 51. It should be understood that although shown as circular in the exemplary embodiment, the base plate 52 and the pressing plate 51 may also have other shapes, such as rectangular, hexagonal, oval, etc.
[0067] In the illustrated embodiment, the first pump 14 and the second pump 15 are arranged at diametrically opposed positions and with respect to the longitudinal axis L of the body. M The rod portion 53 is substantially the same distance from the longitudinal axis L of the body. M The rod portion 53 is positioned in the middle between the two pumps 14, 15, spaced apart from the first activation axis L1 by a distance d1, and spaced apart from the second activation axis L2 by a distance d2 (see Figure 2 ).like Figure 2 As shown in , the distance d1 is substantially equal to the distance d2. As used herein, the distance between the rod portion 53 and the first trigger axis L1 may refer to the longitudinal axis L1 of the rod portion. S (See Figure 2 and Figure 5C ) and the first trigger axis L1. In the illustrated embodiment where a 50% to 50% dose ratio is desired, the longitudinal axis L of the rod portion is S With the longitudinal axis L of the body M coincide.
[0068] In other embodiments, particularly where the first pump 14 is not identical to the second pump 15, the position of the rod portion 53 may be adjusted slightly about the center of the base plate 52 to accommodate differences between the pumps. For example, where a 25% to 75% dose ratio is desired, the longitudinal axis L of the rod portion may be oriented in a manner similar to that of the base plate 52.S The substrate 52 may be offset from the center thereof or from the longitudinal axis L of the main body. M A distance of no more than 5 mm, preferably no more than 3 mm.
[0069] As used herein, the term "central region" is understood to refer to a confined area generally around the center, but not necessarily limited to the exact geometric center point. Thus, in the case where the rod portion 53 is slightly repositioned to accommodate different pump characteristics, the rod portion 53 can still be in the central region of the base plate 52 in the sense of the present invention.
[0070] The inventors of the present invention have found that by appropriately sizing and positioning the pressure plate 51 , base plate 52 and rod portion 53 , a desired dosage ratio can be achieved whilst ensuring user comfort.
[0071] refer to Figure 5B , a top view of the applicator 12 is shown in the middle. The projected area of the pressure plate 51 in the projection plane perpendicular to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 is shown on the left as "area T", and the projected area of the base plate 52 in the projection plane perpendicular to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 is shown on the right as "area B". In this embodiment, the projection plane is a horizontal plane because the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 are arranged vertically.
[0072] According to the present invention, the area T substantially corresponds to the fingerprint size of the user's index finger. In the illustrated embodiment, the area T is approximately 330 mm. 2 , corresponding to 20.5mm 2 In other embodiments, the area T of the pressing plate 51 may be 200 mm. 2 Up to 400mm 2 , preferably 230mm 2 Up to 380mm 2 , or preferably 250mm 2 Up to 370mm 2 , or preferably 280 mm 2 Up to 350mm 2 within the range.
[0073] According to the present invention, the area B of the base plate 52 is large enough to cover the elements for actuating both the first pump 14 and the second pump 15. In the illustrated embodiment, the area B covers both the first trigger tube 41 and the second trigger tube 42. On the other hand, the area B of the base plate 51 may not be too large so that the user can easily hold the device 10 in his / her hand. In the illustrated embodiment, the area B is about 930 mm 2 , corresponding to a diameter of about 34.4 mm. In other embodiments, the area B of the substrate 52 may be 860 mm2 Up to 1100mm 2 , preferably 880mm 2 Up to 1040mm 2 , or preferably 900mm 2 Up to 980mm 2 , or preferably 920 mm 2 Up to 940mm 2 within the range.
[0074] According to the present invention, the projection area T of the pressing plate 51 is 20% to 50% of the projection area B of the substrate 52, preferably 25% to 40%, or preferably 25% to 38%, or preferably 28% to 37%, or preferably 30% to 36%, or preferably 32% to 36% of the projection area B of the substrate 52. Figure 1A In the embodiment of FIG. 5 , area T is approximately 35.5% of area B.
[0075] As an example, some preferred values of the projected area T of the press plate 52 and the projected area B of the press plate 51 are provided in Table 1 below.
[0076] Table 1. Preferred values of area T and B
[0077]
[0078]
[0079] Compared with the pressure plate 51, the rod portion 53 has a smaller diameter. In the illustrated embodiment, the rod portion 53 has a cylindrical shape. Preferably, the diameter of the rod portion 53 is 35% to 75%, or preferably 50% to 65%, or preferably 55% to 60% of the diameter of the pressure plate 51. The diameter of the rod portion 53 can be in the range of from 4mm to 13mm, preferably 5mm to 13mm, or preferably 6mm to 11mm, or preferably 7mm to 10mm. The axial length of the rod portion 53 is preferably 5mm to 13mm, or preferably 6mm to 11mm, or preferably 7mm to 10mm. The appropriate size design of the rod portion 53 effectively prevents the user's pressing finger from contacting the substrate 53 on the one hand, and helps to reliably transmit force at the central area of the applicator 12 on the other hand.
[0080] In the illustrated embodiment, the applicator 12 is composed of Figure 5D The upper portion 121 shown in FIG. Figure 5E The lower part 122 shown in FIG. is formed. The upper part 121 includes a pressing plate 51 and an upper protrusion 531 extending from the bottom of the pressing plate 51 at a central area thereof. The lower part 122 includes a base plate 52 and a lower protrusion 532 extending from the base plate 52 at a central area thereof. The lower protrusion 532 has a tubular shape. Figure 5C As shown in FIG. 5 , the upper protrusion 531 is inserted into the lower portion 532 and fixed to the lower portion 532. Thus, the rod portion 53 is formed by the protrusion 531 together with the tubular portion 532.
[0081] In this embodiment, both the upper portion 121 and the lower portion 122 of the applicator 12 are made of PP material, although other materials are possible.
[0082] The two-part design according to this embodiment is advantageous because it facilitates the decoration of the applicator 12. However, it is also conceivable to form the applicator 12 in one piece.
[0083] As shown in Figure 3 and Figure 5A As shown in , the applicator 12 also includes a cylindrical side wall 54, which is inserted into the collar 16 on its lower end and surrounds the nozzle 13 and the pumps 14, 15. An opening 55 aligned with the first outlet 412 and the second outlet 422 is provided in the applicator side wall 54 to enable the cosmetic product to be dispensed from the device 10. Such an applicator 12 provides further protection for the nozzle 13 and the pumps 14, 15 to prevent contamination and contributes to the aesthetic appearance of the device 10.
[0084] The particular design of the applicator according to the invention makes it possible to improve the comfort of use while limiting the application of pressure to the appropriate position, thus avoiding tilting of the applicator and ensuring an appropriate dosage ratio. FIG. 6A to FIG. 6C The advantages of the present invention are further explained.
[0085] FIG. 6A to FIG. 6B 1 is a schematic diagram for illustrating the situation of the prior art device. According to the prior art, when the user presses on one side of the applicator 12 ' (see for example Fig. 6A In this case, the nozzle does not move parallel to the first trigger axis L1' and the second trigger axis L2', and the elements for triggering the two pumps 14', 15' are not displaced by the same distance, resulting in an incorrect dosage ratio. Even if the user tries to adjust the dosage ratio by placing his / her fingertip in the center (see e.g. Figure 6B Even if the applicator 12' is pressed in position P2 in FIG. 1 , an imbalance may still occur because another part of the finger will be in contact with the applicator 12' on only one side. Figure 6B The shaded area S in illustratively shows the area that contacts and is pressed by the finger when viewed from above. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve an accurate dose ratio in the prior art.
[0086] Figure 6C Schematic diagram illustrating the present invention. Figure 6CAs shown in FIG. 5 , the user presses the pressing plate 51, and the pressing force is transmitted to the central area of the base plate 52 through the rod portion 53. The base plate 52 and then the nozzle perform a translational movement (also referred to herein as "parallel movement") parallel to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2 without tilting, and thus the pumps 14, 15 are properly triggered. In this way, the user can effortlessly dispense different cosmetic products at appropriate dosage ratios.
[0087] According to the invention, the parallel translational movement of the nozzle 13 is further enhanced by cooperating guide rods 43 and guide sleeves 34 provided on the nozzle 13 and the collar 16, respectively.
[0088] like Figure 3A As shown in FIG. , two guide sleeves 34 extend vertically upward from the collar plate 35 in parallel. Figure 4B , two guide rods 43 extend vertically downward in parallel from the bottom of the upper wall 44 of the nozzle 13. The guide rods 43 are configured to be inserted into the corresponding guide sleeves 34 and slide therein.
[0089] In the illustrated embodiment, the guide rod 43 has a Y-shaped cross section having three legs, and the guide sleeve 34 defines a passage having a Y-shaped cross section for receiving the guide rod 43. Compared with conventional circular or rectangular shaped guide rods, the Y-shaped guide rod 43 according to the present invention is particularly advantageous for preventing the tilting of the nozzle 13. Preferably, the upper wall 44 of the nozzle 13 has a substantially circular projection area in a projection plane parallel to the first trigger axis L1 and the second trigger axis L2, and one of the three legs of each of the Y-shaped guide rods 43 is radially oriented toward the center of the nozzle 13.
[0090] The sleeves 34 are each provided with a longitudinally extending slot 37. The slot 37 is provided on a side facing away from the center of the collar 16. In addition, the sleeves are each provided with a longitudinal notch 38 facing the center of the collar 16. The slot 37 and the notch 38 serve as guides for two guide fins 45 extending from opposite sides of the guide rod 43, as shown in FIG. Figure 4B . This further ensures proper orientation and alignment between the guide rod 43 and the guide sleeve 34. In addition, it facilitates fitting the guide rod 43 into the sleeve 34 without compromising reliable guidance of parallel movement. Preferably, the slot 37 extends over the entire length of the sleeve 34 to facilitate molding.
[0091] A top cap 11 is provided to cover and protect the applicator 12 and the nozzle 13 from the environment. The top cap 11 can be easily mounted to the body 18 by a snap fit.
[0092] Although two reservoirs and two pumps are provided in the illustrated embodiment, it is also possible to provide three or more reservoirs and three or more pumps if appropriate. In an embodiment, the three pumps may be arranged around the longitudinal axis L of the body 18. M The rod portion 53 of the applicator 12 is evenly spaced from each other and can be arranged parallel to the triggering axes of the three pumps and at an equal distance from them. The rod portion 53 is fixed to the pressure plate 51 at the central area of the pressure plate 51 and to the base plate 52 at the central area so that the three pumps can be easily triggered in parallel.
