The activation of the Lewis acid is utilized, and it is found that the Lewis acid and the alkali metal carbonate have a promoting effect in the carboxylation reaction of furfuryl acid and CO2, and have an improving effect on the yield of the reaction product 2,5-furan dicarboxylic acid.
