Abstract

This invention discloses a kind of method for sideband information transmission and frame synchronism in OFDM communication system. It also discloses the corresponding apparatus. This invention is used for resolving peak value regeneration and frame synchronism questions in OFDM system. The steps are: the length of sideband information SI symbol is determined; all the OFDM symbols in each frame are carries out PTS processing for lowing peak value; the PTS phase optimized phase rotation information is used as SI information. All the SI information of one OFDM symbol frame are aggregated so as to using as a SI symbol dependent from other OFDM; the integrated SI symbol is copied for many times. Then, the copied symbols are inserted before OFDM symbol of the frame and transmitted; the position of OFDM frame initial sampling point is calculated by maximum-likelihood algorithm; by use of the SI information containing in SI symbols, the other frame synchronized OFDM symbols are recovered to the OFDM symbols that have not been PTS processed. The apparatus for the said method concludes: transmitting end that is consisted of PTS unit, SI information extraction unit and combiner; receiving end that is consisted of frame synchronism unit, SI symbol and OFDM symbol separation unit and information restorer.
